25.01.2022 CHARLIE, TESS AND TOBY From the very first moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly that we felt like we were part of the family. Charlie, the beautiful King Cavalier, had a difficult time our first day. He is such a mommys boy that it was heartbreaking to watch him lay at the door waiting for his mommy to come home. We had never seen such a sad dog before. But he enjoyed our time playing together, getting some extra pets and of course treats and fortunately warmed up t...he very next day. Charlie was also a little more shy on his walks. But not Tess, she absolutely loved to explore. She had no fear, and was always ready to go. We started calling her Little Miss Adventurous. Toby, the cat, generally slept during the days, but he came up for movie nights and loved to sit on our laps and get pets. Each night before we went to bed, we took them all outside to go potty. Toby was usually the first one who went out, followed by Charlie and then Tess. After just a few days, we started calling ourselves The Gang. As they are all older, the speed was moderate, but we loved how everyone followed each other. The Gang was on the road! We absolutely fell in love with Charlie, Tess and Toby and are so happy to still see their smiling faces on pictures that we receive from their parents. All our love to you guys! It was so wonderful to meet you A&M. And, of course, The Gang. See more
24.01.2022 A few pictures of our last house sit <3 Harry is an absolute entertainer and we had a blast with him. He loves belly rubs and as soon as we said how cute he is, or just the word "cutie", he was laying on his back ready for another one. Harry is also quite the hunter. As bush turkeys came to close, he ran up and chased them away. Muddles is a patient lady, who loves to sleep and eat. She wasn't as much into playing fetch like Harry, but very fast up as it was about food. She h...as a gentle soul. When she is happy her tail goes in all directions. Side to side, up and down or in circles like a helicopter. TL slept most of the time. Sometimes she snored, which sounded so cute :-) Princess Leia, the chicken, was only seen for breakfast and dinner times. And the geese... oh well. What a life! During the day they either slept in the shade or on hot days went for a swim in the pond. They knew their feeding times and came waddeling back to the house to get their food. Not bad! We had a great time and enjoyed watching the bird life and wallabies in the bush.
23.01.2022 BARKLY AND WILLOW We were honored that we were able to spend Christmas and New Years with Barkly and Willow. Barkly was our first Bulldog and we were amazed as we got to know him. Barkly is a character! He had such a personality and made us laugh out loud all the time! One of his favorite toys was a torn off leg from a stuffed animal. When he carried it around it looked like he had a cigar in his mouth. And when he pushed it against our legs, it was clear that it was playtime...!! And who could resist those eyes! You can imagine that we played A LOT! Willow, we think, probably loved us mostly because she got some time away from Barkly Barkly was distracted by playing and so he didnt pick on her. But she also really enjoyed our cuddles and especially the movie nights in bed. As our last day came, both of them knew that something was going on. When it was time to say goodbye, Willow was at the door and Barkly was laying on the floor just looking up at us. He absolutely melted our hearts with his eyes. We love house sitting, but farewells are always so sad See more
22.01.2022 BRUISER We only had a short weekend with Bruiser. She is an elderly sweet girl who never left our side. Even at night she came in to our bedroom, which we loved. We spent the evenings on the couch together watching movies. She was so great on her walks and she filled us with love.
21.01.2022 We fell in love from the very first second that we saw our neighbor's puppy Ella! We didn't house sit her, but are taking her for walks during the week. Would you like to see more of her?
21.01.2022 When you know you will travel the next weeks and won't have house sits and start taking campground dogs for walks
20.01.2022 Here is a teaser for tomorrow. Sound on! :-) Barkly was our second house sit in Australia. We were lucky to spend Christmas and New Years with him and his sister Willow.
20.01.2022 MADDIE We were fortunate to take care of litte Maddie for a long weekend. It was fun to play and cuddle with her. She especially loved to sit with James while he was reading, which was really cute.
20.01.2022 "The Best Therapist has fur and four legs."
18.01.2022 PROFESSOR Professor was a special cat! He was curious, cuddly, playful, adventurous, cheeky, full of life and very smart. I remember one weekend that we invited our friends and neighbors over for a BBQ. We were talking and forgot about the big plate filled with grilled chicken at the end of the table. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a black and white paw searching carefully for the plate. Professor was underneath the table trying to get a piece of chicken without any of u...s noticing. The sight of this cute little paw fumbling for food made us laugh so much. We were lucky to have had him for 14 years. He was a hell of a cat and brought us so much joy and love. And he is still truly missed. The last few years we have helped friends with sitting their cats, but it was not until 2019 when we became full time travelers that we discovered house sitting. House sitting allows us to give all our affection and cuddles to all the incredible cats and dogs that we meet along our journey. See more
17.01.2022 PADDY What a cute boy!! On the very first night of our house sit, Paddy jumped up onto the bed and made himself comfortable. As we hesitated for a second, he gave us a "well, are you guys coming to bed or not" look! We had so much fun with Paddy over the long weekend. He took us to his favourite coffee place, for nice long walks, and even showed us how much he loves his kiddie pool!
14.01.2022 Enjoying a repeat house sit with our beautiful friend Paddy
13.01.2022 The last months we spent in Woollamia where due to COVID- 19 we rented an apartement. We walked our neighbors dogs and had lots of fun and lovely moments with them. As restrictions have eased we will soon have our next house sit and cant wait to care for two very sweet Dachshunds. However, our farewells will be very hard. We will miss Marley, Bear and Ella!
12.01.2022 This is Marley who always spoils me with hugs and kisses
12.01.2022 SASSY Oh Sassy!! You were such a sweet surprise and we loved everything about you! If we would have to find a definition for "cozyness" and "home" it would be Sassy. She filled our hearts with joy and love and we wish that we could have spend more time with her. She might be little, but she has a big heart and sure knows what she wants and deserves <3
12.01.2022 Puppy Ella <3 The last days we spent a lot of time playing, cuddling and walking with Ella. And we got rewarded with her beautiful smiles and kisses.
11.01.2022 ELLA Adorable, cute, sweet, beautiful and pretty are just a few words that describe Ella. The first time we went to take her out for a walk she welcomed us in a very special way.. yup, she peed on us. She was just SO excited! This little girl made us laugh from the very first day and we still have to smile when we think back to our first meeting! Full with energy and curious as to what is out there in the world, she can hardly wait to go for her walks. And she loves puddles! There is not a single puddle, even the smallest, that she wants to walk by without giving her tongue (and ears) a little dip. Ella is also very smart and figures things out very quickly. We are so happy that we can take her for walks and enjoy seeing her smile back at us.
10.01.2022 FRANKIE AND GRACE G'Day, Mate. We're Frankie and Grace and we love to play, eat and sleep. Menekse and James stayed with us for two weeks and gave us all we loved. And, as a reward, we visited them early in the mornings, so they could play even longer with us :-)
10.01.2022 Tess came by for a visit in our campervan, most likely searching for something to eat. Little smarty pants
08.01.2022 We had so much fun with this beautiful girl! She is truly a happy maker!
07.01.2022 IVY AND PUSS As we were searching for our next house sit we saw a picture of Ivy and looked at each other and said She is smiling!! We immediately fell in love with her. We were so happy when our application was accepted and couldnt wait to meet this cute little lady. And as we met Ivy, the dog, and Puss, the cat, our expectations were surpassed! Ivy was the cutest thing and she was so well-behaved! Every time we went for a walk or to the beach, she had this beautiful smile on her face. And Ivy always looked up to us while on our walks. Puss might be 20 years old, but she is still curious and chasing her toy mouse. We absolutely loved to play, cuddle and spend time with them.
07.01.2022 The hardest part of house sitting is saying good-bye to the little ones
07.01.2022 The last days we house sat 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 geese and one chicken. We got visited by beautiful parrots and cute wallabies. It was so much fun to be in this peaceful environment and taking care of Harry, Muddles, TL, Homer and Marge, and Princess Leia
06.01.2022 GRIFF Griff was our first House Sit in Australia as we arrived last year. And he was probably also the most playful dog we've sat. Man, he loved to play fetch! We could chuck his ball a mile and he would get it and bring it back. And then be ready for many more. After tiring him out, we enjoyed our evenings together watching Netflix. Cheeky Griffo, who is not allowed on the lounge, did every trick he could think of to try to convince us that it would be so much better with him on it! Love you buddy! PS: just for the record, we didn't allow him on the lounge :-D
04.01.2022 We are so excited! Your Perfect House Sitters are now also on Instagram! Follow us if you like pets!
04.01.2022 OSCAR AND LOUIS I (Menekse) had the fortune to stay with Oscar and Louis, two adorable cats in Berlin, Germany. The fur-babies and I got along so well that I had the opportunity to housesit the following year again, which was just as lovely as the first time. We hope that we will see them again when were back in Germany
