14.01.2022 Our flexitarian diet has been very flex lately but last nights dinner we were back to meat-free. Baked ricotta, almonds, butter beans and figs served with a salad of fennel and orange. Im hearing lots of people say theyve had a couple of weeks of feeling flat/tired/off. Ive been a bit the same. You may have had a couple of weeks of more rest with the change of season so now is the time to take some small steps to get back to routine. Set the alarm again; lay out your clothes the night before; fill the fridge with nutritious food. Carbs - pasta, rice, potatoes, fruit. Fats - olive oil, mixed nuts By limiting expensive cuts of protein like salmon and steak you can still invest money into other sources like eggs, mackerel, tuna, frozen chicken breast, cottage cheese Buy supermarket own brand. Frozen berries are often half the price of fresh. Have a great shelf life and allow you to buy in bulk. Food grown in season tastes better and is cheaper. The best way to avoid making impulse buys is to make a shopping list before you go.
