19.01.2022 Lamb shanks on the menu for dinner tonight Ingredients 2 tsp olive oil 2 tbs plain flour... 4 lamb shanks trimmed 1 brown onion chopped 2 garlic cloves crushed 2/3 cup red wine 700 ml Italian cooking sauce Method STEP 1 Season flour with salt and pepper, then coat lamb in flour, shaking off excess. Add to pan and cook until browned. Remove from pan. STEP 2 Add onion and garlic, and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. STEP 3 Increase heat to high and add wine to pan. Cook for 2 minutes. STEP 4 Stir in sauce and bring to a simmer. Add lamb shanks to pan. Cover and reduce heat to low. STEP 5 Cook for 1-1 hours or until lamb is very tender. Season with salt and pepper. See more

15.01.2022 Chocolate ice cream Ingredients 3 frozen, overripe bananas 1/3 cup cocoa powder... 2-3 tbsp peanut or almond butter, optional pinch salt broken-up dark chocolate bars or chips, optional Instructions *Make sure bananas are at least partially brown before peeling, chopping, and then freezing. Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender or food processoryou can add the optional chocolate and the brownie bites before or after blending. Process until completely smooth, adding a little milk of choice if it’s too thick for your blender to process. Either serve immediately as soft serve, or freeze for about an hour and then scoop out with an ice cream scoop. Although nice cream tastes the best the day it’s made, you can technically freeze for up to a few weeks and thaw before eating.



13.01.2022 Doughnuts INGREDIENTS 490g (3 1/4 cups) plain flour 55g (1/4 cup) caster sugar 3 teaspoons dried yeast... Pinch of salt 250ml (1 cup) milk, warmed 100g butter, melted 3 egg yolks Canola oil, to deep-fry 215g (1 cup) caster sugar, extra 2 teaspoons Masterfoods Ground Cinnamon METHOD Step 1 Combine flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a bowl. Make a well. Mix in milk, butter and egg until dough starts to come together it may be sticky. Step 2 Knead on a well-floured surface until smooth. Place in a greased bowl. Cover. Prove for 1 1/2 hours or until dough has doubled in size. Step 3 Punch down the dough. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 2 minutes or until smooth. Roll out dough until 1cm thick. Rest dough for 2 minutes. Step 4 Use an 8cm round cutter to cut out discs. Use a 3.5cm round cutter to cut out centres. Place on a lined tray. Set aside for 15 minutes to rise slightly. Step 5 Combine extra sugar and cinnamon on a tray. Heat oil to 180C. Deep-fry 4-5 doughnuts for 40 seconds each side or until puffed and golden. Step 6 Transfer the doughnuts to the sugar mixture and turn to coat. Repeat, in 3 more batches, with remaining doughnuts. See more

09.01.2022 Watermelon Flavored Water: 2 slices of watermelon cut into thirds or quarters Small handful of basil scrunched Ice and cold filtered water... Instructions Fill your juice pitcher to the top with ice and fruit. Slightly scrunch up the basil so it releases it's flavor. Cover with cold filtered water. This water is best if you let the water infuse at least 1 hour. If you're inpatient (like me), poke a few holes in your fruit with a fork for instant flavor.

French onion drumsticks ingredients 1 tbs vegetable oil 1 onion (sliced)... 400 g canned chopped tomato 1 tbs soy sauce 1/2 cup water 1 tsp thyme 40 g French onion soup mix 8 chicken drumstick method In a small saucepan heat the oil and gently fry the onion until it is transparent. Remove from heat and add soy sauce, soup mix,tomatoes and water. Stir to combine. In the slow cooker place the drumsticks so that the heavy ends are all on the bottom. Pour over the sauce mix and gently move the drumsticks around until they are all coated. Cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with steamed veggies and rice.

06.01.2022 Classic Bangers and Mash Ingredients 1/2 tbsp oil 8 sausages of choice ... 1 large onion , halved and finely sliced (yellow, white or brown) 2 garlic cloves , minced 3 tbsp flour (plain) 2 cups beef stock/broth (Note 3) TO SERVE Mashed potato Peas Instructions Heat oil in a large skillet / fry pan over medium high heat. Add sausages and cook, turning, until browned as much as possible all over and cooked through. Cook time will differ depending on sausage size Remove sausages onto a plate. Turn heat down to medium. You need around 2 tbsp oil left in the skillet. If you have much less, add a bit of butter or oil. Add onion and garlic, cook until golden brown - around 4 minutes. Add flour and mix through. Add about 3/4 cup of beef broth and mix into the onion so it becomes a sludge. Then add remaining beef broth and mix until combined. Simmer, stirring, until the gravy thickens but is slightly thinner than you want - it will thicken more as you serve it. Season with salt and pepper. Serve sausages with plenty of gravy, with mashed potato and peas on the side. See more

Add in sparking water. Slowly pour in the grenadine syrup. If you would like, slowly pour in the vanilla syrup. Serve with a sprig of rosemary and a straw.
