The Australian Youth for International Climate Engagement (AYFICE) Working Group (which includes a long term YLTW Facilitator) has put out a survey to get young Australians' opinions on Joe Biden’s Leaders Summit on Climate (April 22-23) and Australia’s climate ambition. 13.01.2022 Global Online YLTW Congress 8-9-10 July 2020 The goal is to live in harmony with each other and the Earth. The challenge is to redesign society in a short space of time. Our gift is a proven process for fostering transformative leadership, social innovation and community driven change. The opportunity is to connect young people through an online global YLTW Congress. Imagine thousands of young people coming together across the planet, to tackle global sustainability challenge...s such as water, energy, food, climate change, biodiversity, waste and plan together how they can create positive social change. YOUth LEADing the World (YLTW) is an OzGREEN innitiative that enables young people to find their voice and become active participants in creating fairer futures. Youth leadership, social innovation and community driven change are key. YLTW is focused on 12-25years (and we have had some amazing 8 year olds and 30 years olds who insisted they should be able to participate!) Central to YLTW are the energising and transformative youth leadership congresses conducted simultaneously in multiple interconnected locations. Through YLTW young people become: INFORMED: about global challenges and sustainable living. INNOVATORS: develop action plans for positive social change. 10.01.2022 Wonder-Filled 2-days at OzGREEN's YLTW Camp at Cascade Field Study Centre. Real people in a real forest developing real visions and plans. Soo inspiring. We began with a heart-to-heart talk with senior Gumbaynggirr Elder Uncle Cecil. Then we looked at the threats we face in these challenging times, developed a vision for a fairer future and change ideas to achieve this vision. These awesome young people are now working on their ACTION PLANS. Special thanks to Healthy North C...oast and Bellingen Shire Council for your support. TOP 5 CONCERNS 1. Extinction, lack of local Knowledge, loss of Culture 2. Lack of political leadership 3. Deforestation 4. Greed and overconsumption 5. Plastic pollution VISION FOR THE FUTURE We live in harmony with each other and the earth, with respect and love for Gumbaynggirr Knowledge and Culture. We protect the diversity of life.
