21.01.2022 A big thank you to our parkrun tourists from Yarrabilba and Brisbane! Our little Yowie parkrun (and our small town) appreciates your participation! Special mention to Deb who ran her 200th parkrun with us this morning. It was a clear and steamy morning as 25 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 15 were first timers and 2 recorded new Personal Bests ( Angela and Arna - go the Elliots!) Representatives of 7 different clubs took part. The female record is held by Shiloh WATTS who recorded a time of 19:48 on 27th July 2019 (event number 26). The Age Grade course record is held by Aidan HOBBS who recorded 82.54% (15:45) on 9th March 2019 (event number 6). Yowie parkrun started on 2nd February 2019. Since then 804 participants have completed 2,260 parkruns covering a total distance of 11,300 km, including 350 new Personal Bests. A total of 65 individuals have volunteered 667 times.

19.01.2022 Happy birthday to the fastest (and most reliable) bar code scanner in the west - Yowie parkrun’s Helen Sharp. She chose to spend her morning scanning - thank you! Of course, our event would not have happened without the efforts of all of our volunteers: Paul Sharp, Helen Sharp Greg Edwards, Maggie Flemming, Michelle Nilsen and Di Taylor... Thank you!!!

By my birthday in ...March I should have completed my 50 runs.. Please all of you parkrun runners, joggers or walkers come on down to Yowie parkrun. Such a lovely spot. 08.01.2022 Results are on their way - a bit slow this morning! Thanks to all those people that helped us celebrate our 2nd birthday! We had visitors from Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and northern NSW. And we were privileged to have our own very Yowie join us out on the course!
