Bio 2 of 5 - Introducing Maria Mohr Maria is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer in the Northern Territory Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet, responsible for social, economic and environmental policy and intergovernmental relations, Cabinet Office, Government House, corporate shared services and Strategic Communications and Engagement.... Maria was formerly Deputy Director-General, Conservation and Sustainability Services in the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP). Maria was responsible for the implementation of programs to conserve and enhance the health of the state’s natural environment, including managing the interaction between people and protected species and the delivery of programs associated with wildlife management, threatened species and protected areas. Maria was also responsible for promoting sustainable management of Queensland’s terrestrial and marine biodiversity values and wetlands and for partnership programs for litter and illegal dumping, and the engagement of Indigenous Land and Sea Rangers.

Originally from Sydney, Josh has predominantly worked within higher education in student & client facing roles. Josh was recently in charge of the Asia-Pacific region for an academic honour society aimed at university students before joining the Sydney team of CPA Australia. Josh's profes...sional background has seen him travelling for work throughout the Asia-Pacific and parts of the US. In his current role since early 2017, Josh has responsibility for the operations of CPA Australia throughout the Territory. The Young Professionals Network Northern Territory and CPA Darwin have put together a panel of experienced professionals to discuss the strategies available to young professionals to deal with specific challenges at work such as difficult bosses, toxic work cultures and restructures. What difference does a good/ bad boss make to your work and your environment?... How important is culture within the organisation/ team and can it change? My department/ organisation is about to restructure, what should I do? Share and listen to the panel on their stories and how to successfully navigate these challenges and still progress your career. Event will also be broadcasted via webinar.
