24.01.2022 It's not too late to start raising money for our School Colour Explosion. We have raised $1,415 so far!!!... Go to www.myprofilepage.com.au to create an online profile. The proposed date for our Colour Explosion is Friday the 30th of October, if we are all back at school. If we are not we will reschedule at a later date in the year.

24.01.2022 During these difficult times the effects from COVID are being felt by us all in some way - the human costs of the pandemic, from the health of friends and family to the physical effect of infection and the mental trauma or the fear faced by almost everyone. Not knowing how this pandemic will play out affects our economic, physical and mental well-being against a backdrop of a world that, for many, is increasingly anxious, unhappy and lonely. It is now the time for our communi...ty to come together and support each other . We now have a Yarra Road PS community noticeboard. This is for everyone to use and share to help each other . Be it an offer of support for those who need, someone to talk to, a cry for help, or a family business that may provide a service that someone is looking for or needs, or even for individuals to buy, swap and sell. 23.01.2022 Yarra Road Community you are amazing! Colour Explosion Fundraising has now closed. At last count, we had raised $8700 This is a remarkable achievement considering everything that we have all been through this year. This will go towards the school's computer license for 2021. Thank you so much to everyone for your support. It is very much appreciated.

21.01.2022 Just a reminder that colour Explosion fundraising ends on Friday . All Colour Explosion money is due in by Friday 20th November. Please return forms and any cash donations to the office. 21.01.2022 Fundraiser Update There has been an unforeseen delay on the dispatch of our hand sanitiser being supplied to us, which frustratingly is beyond our control. The stock should arrive in the school holidays and we hope to have it sent home to families on the first day of Term 3.... Please can we ask that all orders are returned to school by no later than Friday 26th June. Any questions please send us a PM. We appreciate your support.

21.01.2022 Friday was a beautiful afternoon for an explosion of YRPS COLOUR!! It was fabulous to see all the smiles and laughter from everyone at school pick up and the PA were so happy that our kids could experience the Colour Explosion this year. In the absence of our PA team of helpers thank goodness we had Mrs Tonna . A huge thanks Mrs T for bringing it all together, and to all the staff for always getting into the spirit. ... Thank you also to those students and families who have been busily fundraising. We are grateful for all your support and helping us make this day possible. 20.01.2022 Term 2 ends tomorrow and what an incredibly strange term that was. The PA are hoping to bring some fun events back to school for Term 3. We are currently planning our Fathers / Special Friends Day Stall and some Healthy Fundraising (as we have dropped the chocolate fundraiser this year). Look what we have returning on August 11th... bring on Toastie Tuesday

18.01.2022 Colour Run (this Friday) - Reminders Without consent your child will NOT be able to participate in the run this Friday. Please provide consent via the Compass event by Thursday 29th October 11:59pm. Weather permitting we are hopeful that any rain will stay away, however if this is not the case we will look at postponing the run.... Don't forget your white/old pale t-shirt!

17.01.2022 We hope everyone is managing through this difficult period. We remain positive that Covid cases continue to drop and everything falls into place for a term 4 return to school. When all children have returned to school, the PA are planning to run some fun events for all. Starting with the Colour Explosion on Friday October 30th . *Please note - the Colour Explosion will definitely go head. If this date is not possible we will move the date accordingly. December The school Elves will return for some mischievous fun as we all take part in the daily Elf Hunt. Just a gold coin donation is required to enter with all funds raised going to back to school families in need. Christmas Stall once again there will be a stall for all children to purchase a gift for a family member, friend, or teacher or even just for themselves . All gifts are reasonably priced between $1 to $6. We will provide more information closer to the time but for now take care and stay safe.

Please check the list to see if your suburb is affected. WE’VE BECOME AWARE OF A POTENTIAL WATER QUALITY ISSUE AFFECTING 88 SUBURBS DUE TO ELECTRICAL DAMAGE CAUSED BY STORMS OVERNIGHT. These power outages have resulted in some water entering our drinking water supply system and customer taps that had not been treated to t...he usual standard. Power has now returned and the initial issue has been addressed, however undisinfected water is still within some areas. IF YOU LIVE IN THE SUBURBS BELOW, AS A PRECAUTION WE ADVISE YOU TO BRING TAP WATER TO A ROLLING BOIL BEFORE USING FOR DRINKING, BRUSHING YOUR TEETH, FOOD PREPARATION, PREPARING BABY FORMULA, MAKING ICE OR BATHING INFANTS. 04.01.2022 Parents Association Hand Sanitiser The Parents Association hand sanitiser arrived at school yesterday, if you previously ordered and have paid, please collect them from outside the office during school hours. If you would like to place an order please see the order form below. Currently we can only accept payment by card. Orders can be emailed to the office [email protected] Once your order has been processed we will notify you when you can come collect as... per the process above. The Parents Association are grateful and would like to thank you all for your orders and support with this fundraiser. Your support helps us provide additional funds for the school that enable us to contribute funds towards the provision of Chromebook's for all students across the school. Thank you
