23.01.2022 Thank you to Yule Brook College for inviting me to partake in your Environmental Studies Class. It was great to discuss the uniqueness of the flora and fauna i...n the Perth Hills and how it is one of the last remnants of the ancient Gondwana forests. As a past teacher, it is always a pleasure to step back into the classroom and talk with our future leaders on what is important to them.

23.01.2022 Over the next two weeks we are inviting students, teachers and parents to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey. The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process. Parents and carers are invited to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide w...ill be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Yule Brook College. The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL below, or come into school and use a school device: https://tellthemfromme.com/survey/splash/yulebrookcollege See more

The survey will close at 5pm on Tuesday 22 September. Please share the links with family and friends in the community!... https://www.education.wa.edu.au/community-consultation-on-s See more

23.01.2022 What an unusual start to this year it has been! We had all been so excited to welcome back our students a week ago but things didn't go to plan. Make no mistake that excitement is still there and we have had a few more days to add to the planning that has gone into this year. We have some challenges this week with the need for all students and staff to use face masks to help stop the spread of COVID 19 in our community but it is important to remember that this but one action... of many we need to keep doing to make sure everyone is as safe as can be. I want to acknowledge the incredible work of everyone involved in the recent bushfire crisis and while the loss of properties is devastating the miracle that everyone is safe is due to the efforts of our firefighters and their helpers. The school stands ready to help anyone in our community that has been affected by these events so please ask for help if you need it. We live in an incredible place that faces multiple challenges including pandemic, fire and floods among others, but it is the way we as a community come together and help each other that makes this the best place on earth. 22.01.2022 Thank you to Mrs Champion for inviting me to speak with her civics class at Yule Brook College about being an MP.

22.01.2022 Today's lunchtime fun activity was the bouncy castles. It was lovely to see so many students enjoying themselves and having fun. Even Wanda couldn't resist a little bounce with the kids!

21.01.2022 Hi to everyone in our family community aged between 12 and 25! Arche Health are happy to announce that they are now working on securing a location for the new headspace Cannington for which they have been awarded the 'lead agency' role. They are wanting to get the opinions and voices of young people and get them involved with the design and establishment of the centre! They have created a survey to provide feedback on the selected location. This input from our young communit...y is so important and valuable, especially because the service is for YOU, so it's important to make the centre as youth friendly and comfortable as possible. Please take some time to complete their survey. One respondent will also be selected to receive a $250 gift voucher! HERE is the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2SKZSSM

20.01.2022 While we've been enjoying our holidays we've had a little bit of renovation happening at school, and the gym change rooms will be open for business starting with Year 8 PE tomorrow afternoon! With they luxury of shower cubicles for the boys and doors instead of curtains for the girls there will be no excuse for not working up a sweat in PE class or at footy training! We also have a new bike and scooter rack enclosure, so get those wheels out tomorrow and we'll see you at school! Also coming soon are two big sets of shade sails - the poles by the canteen are not an art installation! Mrs Hilary Saunders Principal

16.01.2022 Senior School Big Picture at Yule Brook College from 2022! The Minister for Education and Training, the Hon Sue Ellery MLC, today announced that based on feedback from our school community Yule Brook College will extend to provide the Big Picture program for Year 11 and 12 students. It is anticipated this change will be implemented for the start of the 2022 school year.... As you will be aware, the community was invited to have its say through an online survey, community forums and meetings held with school communities, including parents, local Aboriginal families, school boards and councils and parents and citizens’ associations. Based on feedback from the community there will be no change to Cannington Community College, Sevenoaks Senior College or Cannington Community Education Support Centre. In addition to the community consultation, the Minister for Education and Training received a letter from the council/board chairs of three schools indicating their support for this outcome. 12.01.2022 Dear Families https://is.gd/LungHealthSurvey_HighSchool The Telethon Kids Institute and Curtin University are conducting a research project that aims to provide valuable information about your child’s health and their environment in children of this age group. They will also be asked to watch a short video about forms of exercise and breathing, completing 5 questions on what they have seen while the video was running. Please click on the link below to find out more about participating. Participation in this research project is entirely voluntary. https://is.gd/LungHealthSurvey_HighSchool Please note that this research has not been endorsed by the school or the Department of Education.
