19.01.2022 If anyone in wondering how you can help out with the current bushfires, the best way is to make an online donation. There are reports that many volunteers across charity organizations, are spending a lot of time sorting through goods rather than assisting communities. If you would like to help, An official Bushfire Disaster Appeal has been set up in response to the overwhelming request from our generous community who are wanting to make donations.... Experience tells us that donation of money is much more effective and provides more flexibility than the donation of material items. If you would like to donate to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal you can do so here: http://emergency.vic.gov.au/relief/#donations

04.01.2022 CFA has received a number of calls from community members regarding bonfires to mark the ‘Spark in the Dark’ event this evening. We appreciate those who are tha...nking our frontline workers, but urge you to keep fire safety front of mind. As today’s conditions are windy in some areas we are urging those who wish to participate to not do so by lighting bonfires or using fire pits. If you are choosing to light a candle, please ensure it is monitored by an adult and extinguished properly. You might like to mark the event by using a torch or outside light. Thank you and stay safe.
