25.01.2022 If you'd like to donate your recyclable bottles and containers to Yungaburra Beautification, the recycle bins at Pitstop (on the left side) are for YBI. Thanks for your kind offer. People have been asking. But they must have the 10c return logo on the back and no lids or wine bottles. I know, right! Alternatively, if you are taking them to the recycling centre yourself in Atherton, they have our code there. Just tell them it's for Yungaburra Beautification Inc.... Thanks for the thought

23.01.2022 We have been pleasantly overwhelmed with the wonderful support for our hanging baskets and would like to sincerely thank all those who have offered to help us out. We really appreciate your kind generosity and words of encouragement. We have posted our bank details on our site for those wishing to donate money towards the maintenance and provision of baskets. We currently have 220 baskets on either poles or hanging from Shop Awnings. There are also donation boxes at a numbe...r of local Yungaburra business outlets. We have always had amazing support from the local Businesses and the Community, especially regarding prizes for our Goose Clubs and Raffles and we look forward to when we can run them again. Not to mention our loyal Bingo Players who weekly enable us to also raise the necessary funds for the baskets, tubs and our other Yungaburra projects, such as the Bullock Dray, Sulky and Platypus Sign as well as helping the Lionesses with the Playground, the Petersen Creek Landcare Group, and Williams Park. When able to recommence, Bingo is every Wednesday morning at the Yungaburra Hotel. We have a wonderful group of 30 players regularly and we would love to increase this, so come along for a great morning. If anyone has prizes that they can contribute for both the Bingo and the Goose Clubs, this would also be appreciated. People can also help out by buying Goose Club tickets or supporting our Yungaburra Butchery Sausage Sizzles when we are back up and running. We never cease to be amazed at the support of the Yungaburra and wider Community especially many of the Businesses, and how much what we do brings so much joy and pleasure to people. 21.01.2022 It is Volunteer Week this week. We would love to acknowledge all the amazing volunteers who contribute to the success of Yungaburra Beautification projects. We have the most incredible team with many wonderful volunteers who help out in so many ways. From the watering of baskets and tubs, collecting bottles and cans for the cash for cans, attending Committee duties, keeping finances audited, calling bingo, cooking for morning tea, finances at Bingo, helping with Goose Cl...ubs and Sausage Sizzles, and in many other ways. We Thankyou all very sincerely. Without you our town would not be the talk of the Tablelands. Sue Fairley President YBI.

18.01.2022 It's not just all about fashion on Saturday. Yungaburra Beautification will have flowers (for Mum) on sale and a Mother's Day raffle with a bunch (pun intended) of great prizes.

18.01.2022 We love it when you come and enjoy our market day 22nd of August is not far away now! But things have changed in the modern world...... Yungaburra Markets has (to name a few things)... *Displayed signage. *Created extra space by removing over 30 stalls from upper level. *Redesigned lower level to accomodate those stalls. *Created compulsory checklists for stall holders, including mandatory hand sanitiser at every stall. *Employed cleaning/social distancing contractors for the amenities block. *Introduced a One Way System. *Lodged a Covid Safe Plan with TRC. *Advertised our efforts in social media, radio and newspapers. *Requested uniformed Police presence. We have done all we can for the well-being of our community and the hopeful continuation of our successful, historical market. The whole town benefits from our presence. We only ask ONE thing of you in return. RESPECT! For others, For self, For property. Please social distance. And if you can come early, do!!

10.01.2022 Bingo recently celebrated the youthfulness of one of our most loyal players. At 96 Adi Franklin is bright, alert and a wealth of knowledge. We’d love to celebrate your birthday too, no matter what stage of life you’re in. So come along to bingo on a Wednesday at the Yungaburra Hotel. Starts 9.30am. Make new friends, laugh and enjoy a sumptuous morning tea. See you there.

07.01.2022 The flowers are looking lovely in town so next time you go for a drive you can admire the blooms.

06.01.2022 Very sadly 2 flowering hanging baskets have been stolen from in front of the Kookaburra Lodge. Another has been damaged. This is extremely disappointing. We are currently down on revenue, due to cancelled Bingo, Goose Clubs and Sausage Sizzles, so it is frustrating when this happens. Please keep an eye out for anyone seen suspiciously tampering with baskets.... We have very few people around from out of town, so if you know of anybody that has acquired some or been given some of these flower baskets, it would be good to know. You can always message us here.

05.01.2022 Yungaburra Beautification has a Goose Club on this Friday night at the Yungaburra Hotel. Tickets can be purchased at the Post Office or on the night between 5 and 7pm. Thanks to our prize donors and everyone who supports our hanging baskets around the Village.

03.01.2022 We have been overwhelmed with the generosity of people wanting to donate to buy or help us replace a basket of flowers, so if you would like to donate, just click on the cover photo above and it will take you to our Association banking details. We, as a dedicated volunteer group, usually conduct bingo each week and goose clubs every couple of months to help raise money for new and replacement flower pots (no, it's not the council who supplies these) and our funds are dwindlin...g. So when we get a few pots stolen, it does make a difference in our capacity to keep the town looking as beautiful as we would like and I think you'll agree, in this time especially, some beautification is a site for sore eyes. So we thank you in advance for your kind generosity and look forward to seeing you around town soon.
