25.01.2022 Our little pianists are learning how to read G clef & F clefs!

25.01.2022 We are glad to be able to offer in-person trial lessons again starting this week following the Queensland Government recommendation. Our teachers are qualified, experienced, and most importantly devoted to the education and growth of the budding musician in your family. Contact us to book a trial lesson today! During this period, extra precautionary steps will be taken to ensure the health and safety of all students, parents as well as staff members. We will be cleaning our studio regularly as well as providing handwashing and sanitizing facilities at the studio.

14.01.2022 Sita completed her Piano Leisure Repertoire Grade 7 exam in May this year and was awarded with an Honours. This is one of the pieces that she performed. " An insighful performance with warmth of tone, contrast in your dynamic shading. The pedal work was appropriate and enhanced the piece as required. The sight rubato moved the piece around with interest for the listener and the melodic text was conveyed with maturity and understanding. Lovley work." Comments by the examiner.

11.01.2022 We are very excited to welcome pianist Ms Jerica Lau to join our faculty at Yvonne Music Centre! Ms Jerica is a classically-trained pianist and is also passionate about teaching church music and popular music. With 5 years of teaching experience, Ms. Jerica is skilled at helping students develop proper technique and foundation from the early stages. Most of her students are high scorers in exams. Music-learning with Ms. Jerica is both disciplined and enjoyable, as her teachin...g is enriched with scholarly methods such as Kodaly and Dalcroze. Ms Jerica is currently completing her final year in the Queensland Conservatorium under the guidance of renowned Russian pianist and distinguished music professor Natasha Vlassenko. Her love of music is also developed under the guidance of International pianist Youkyung Kim and Amelia Santoso. Born in Indonesian, Ms Jerica is passionate about the development of the music culture of her country. One of her career highlights includes winning the Gold Award with duo partner Marcella Nuradi in the 2017 Asia Arts Festival, performing two Indonesian folk songs arranged for 4 hands. Besides solo and chamber performance, Jerica further holds experience in different areas of the industry, playing in school and church choirs as well as different instruments such as the violin and the gamelan.
