25.01.2022 Look at these two gorgeous lovebirds Not a lot has changed in 8 years - they are still gorgeous and they are still very much in love Jessy and Dylan had their wedding at one of my favourite beach locations - All Smiles Sorrento.... You know why I love it? Because the ceremony is held on a grassy knoll! It takes only two steps for the wedding party to be on the beach; the guests keep their footing; no sand-encrusted shoes/socks/stockings; and guests can go directly inside to start carousing if they want to! It's such a win-win!! Do you know any other beach locations that offer this combination? I'd really love to know so that I can share them with my couples!! Beach weddings are the best, but there are definitely some do's and don't's. Check out @weddingservicesmelbourne blog for some priceless tips on how to make the most of it!

25.01.2022 Happy Anniversary for yesterday Kate and Patrick! Can you believe this was 5 years ago And look at you now! A lovely family with your adorable Cooper Here’s to many, many more

25.01.2022 Just went to my door and this was sitting there!!! Thank you so much @flowerpotdebbie Spreading joy and love wherever you go Such a gorgeous surprise!

25.01.2022 Updates from today’s announcement for metropolitan Melbourne Outdoor Ceremonies with 5 people (celebrant, couple + 2 witnesses) are allowed from midnight tonight. It has been confirmed that if numbers continue the downward trend, the next steps could/will happen earlier than originally planned Ceremonies can consist of 5 people PLUS celebrant, that means couple, 2 witnesses and 1 extra person this is now in line with faith services... Celebrant can travel outside 5km radius with permit, but couple and witnesses cannot, therefore ceremonies must be within 5km of their (and their witnesses’) home. Must be in an outdoor public space. Front/backyards do NOT count as public space Celebrants home is NOT a public space Therefore ceremonies must be in a public outdoor space Any questions please feel free to message or call

24.01.2022 Happy "Wood" () Anniversary Ash and Chris!! 5 years ago today I married the gorgeous Ash and Chris - on the beach, in front of the Safety Beach Sailing Club, where we all adjourned later in order to kick up our heels and celebrate in style!! Ash was kind of like my 4th daughter ... Back in the day, when they were both single, she spent a lot of time with my daughter, Zoe - the Chapel Street Terrors they were known as! And consequently, a lot of time with us!! They were fun days indeed, and that close relationship helped make the celebration of her and Chris' big day even more special! What's important to you about your choice of celebrant? I'd love to hear. Pop it in the Comments below

23.01.2022 Surprise weddings are a blast! Can’t you tell?? Happy anniversary Tan and Jol Mulgrave Country Club

23.01.2022 This is another really priceless tip in my armoury of resources!! There are quite a few companies that specialise in doing just this, to help your day be as relaxed and stress-free as possible. One such company that I can highly recommend is @eventnannies. They have been around for quite a while, and I only ever hear good things about them from the couples who have used them.... By the same token, if your child/children go to a daycare centre, quite often a staff member will be happy to help out for a few extra $$$ in their pockets. Check out my Priceless Tips in the Highlights reel for more hints on things you may never have even thought of!! You're welcome

23.01.2022 HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY NICKY AND LEIGH!!! These gorgeous kids celebrated their wedding this day 3 years ago at the fabulous Inglewood Estate in Kangaroo Ground. It was my first time there, and I had to stop halfway down their driveway to get out of the car and fully appreciate the view! What a stunner!!!! Have you been there? Have you seen better? ... They were assisted on the day by their adorable boys - Ethan and Cooper - as page boys, and their best buds - Renee and Luke as their witnesses and main peeps!! If you'd like to see more weddings like these, jump over onto my website - www.yvonnewoodcelebrant.com.au - and check out my gallery and testimonials. In the meantime, happy planning - the end is nigh

Give me a call and let's chat - no obligation - just a chin wag about what's going on and what the wedding future looks like. It's time we spread some joy!!!

16.01.2022 Here are Jasmine and Ben at one of my very favourite wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula - Stillwater at Crittenden! We had a beautiful wedding here on this day back in 2018! Coincidentally, we had a few mutual friends as it turned out and some were at the wedding - it was really lovely And even though Ben nearly fainted during the ceremony, we got through it, and after a few quick pots he was as right as rain Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary kids! Hope you’re still kicking goals

16.01.2022 If you’ve never been to Ballara Receptions in Eltham, you are really missing out!! Gorgeous chapel Stunning gardens Delightful gazebo ... 15.01.2022 If this wedding had been any more relaxed, we all would have been sleeping Relaxed and stylish was the look we were going for, and that is exactly what we got at Sue and Tony’s very elegant come rustic wedding on their property in Bayles - an organic blueberry farm no less!! Happy Anniversary for yesterday guys! Hope it was a ripper

15.01.2022 On this day 8 years ago I married the absolutely delightful L&G at this stunning 19th-century heritage-listed mansion tucked away on Manor Grove in Caulfield North - Labassa. Many guests travelled from overseas for the occasion (those were the days!!), including G's witness (an uncle from France) and the person who so beautifully, and poignantly, told the couple's love story (L's best friend from the US). There were so many personal touches, it's hard to remember them all now.... But one thing that has stuck with me over the years is their vows. They wrote their own - independently of each other - but using the same framework (devised by the groom). It was an interesting way to go about it and worked really well I have since suggested this idea to couples - especially if one of the couple is quite literary and the other not so. An experienced, professional celebrant will have a wealth of ideas about writing your vows - along with hundreds of other things that can help make your day uniquely yours! Make the investment and choose wisely

15.01.2022 In honour of my darling mum's birthday, I thought I'd post this picture of us at my wedding on 23rd December 1978 at St Monica's Catholic Church in Wingfield Street, Footscray. We had our reception at the old Dorchester on the Yarra River. It was a beautiful wedding reception venue but was pulled down years ago! Not sure what's there in its place now. Sadly mum passed away just 6 months later but I do have a photo of her with her 6 sisters and 2 brothers - the last one of... them altogether - so that is a precious memory. Mum was only 67 when she died - bloody cigarettes! And would have been 109 today. I guess she's glad she's not still here!!! Anyway, happy birthday Mollie! Hope you're having a beer - or 3 - with Jim (dad)!!! Forgot to say, my gorgeous wedding dress was made as a wedding gift to me by my dear friend Joan Crofts. Still mates after all these years

13.01.2022 Hopefully us next!!!

10.01.2022 HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY BRYONY AND DAMO These legends got married at the stunning Stillwater at Crittenden in Dromana on this day 4 years ago They were attended by Damien's 8 nieces and nephews - 7 and under - and they have now added another 2 to that clan themselves!!! Congratulations Vin and Jane!!... And as you can see by the photo, they also had their very proud fur-baby - Charlie Cheers - there as well. Charlie actually acted as a second shooter on the day, carrying a GoPro around his neck for the duration and providing some "Look Who's Talking" type footage which was quite hilarious!! How gorgeous are Bryony's flowers? I don't have the florist's details unfortunately or I'd pop them up here Did you have your fur-baby at your wedding? Show us a photo!!!

08.01.2022 Looking for a way to remember and acknowledge someone really special who can't be at your wedding - for whatever reason? This is what Jen and Adam did for their deceased grandparents. It was such a lovely - and very powerful - tribute.... Have you done something similar? I'd so love for you to share your ideas on here - please pop a comment below

08.01.2022 This was - and still is - the weekend for relaxed at home weddings!! On this day 6 years ago, these two crazy kids came out from the States to marry in Liz’a parents garden in Mt Waverley. Marcus’s mum flew in for the wedding and it was just the most perfect set-up for everyone!! Happy 6th anniversary Liz and Fox Hope you’re both loving life in the good old US of A

07.01.2022 Happy First Wedding Anniversary to these two absolutely gorgeous kids!! Married on this day one year ago today at the stunning Manor on High in Epping! It was a true fairytale wedding with the beautiful mother of the bride doubling as bridesmaid and walking the bride down the aisle Can’t wait to celebrate lots more of these magical occasions in 2021

07.01.2022 This may sound funny! Whenever I say it at the rehearsal it invariably gets taken the wrong way!! HOWEVER! ... Trust me, even if it's a not a hot day, your body swells - not just with heat - but also with anxiety, so this is a great tip - regardless of the weather You're welcome

07.01.2022 Weddings are back!! Yay! Time for some venue love If you’re looking for a first wedding venue Les’s than an hour from the city, check this place out! Utterly stunning!!... And great people to work with! Just ask Jess and Rib who had their wedding there earlier this year

06.01.2022 Isn't this just the cutest photo Congratulations to Ash and Bren who are celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary today! These kids tied the knot up at the stunningly rustic Gum Gully Farm in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges.... Their family was already complete and so their 3 absolutely adorable children took a big part in the wedding and absolutely nailed it!! This was a bittersweet day for Ash as her parents had passed away but she was supported on the day by her aunt and uncle who had been her stalwarts for a large part of her life. It was heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. It's not unusual for a wedding to be tinged with a little sadness, but with an experienced and empathetic celebrant - who has your best interests at heart - this can be acknowledged sensitively and without overwhelming the occasion. 06.01.2022 So satisfying to make another awesome couple a family today!! Katie and Nick - along with their two adorable baby boys and close family - had a very relaxed, but still very heartfelt, ceremony on their back deck this afternoon! It was so great to have a beer with them all afterwards cos let’s face it, it was definitely a beer drinking day here in Melbourne today So now they can add Covid wedding to their Covid baby - what a year!!!! Congrats guys and thanks for having me

05.01.2022 Happy what should have been your wedding day Laura and Russell Can’t wait for this time NEXT year

04.01.2022 Time for some venue love Today a big shout out to Killara Estate where the gorgeous staff will do everything in their power to make all your wedding-day dreams come true! Just like they did for Danielle and Scott

04.01.2022 Life of the wedding industry unto weddings hot up again

03.01.2022 "10/10!!! What a total GEM! From the beginning, her professionalism and warm attitude put us at ease. Yvonne took care of all the hard stuff and helped us make our wedding ceremony fun, interactive, and stress-free. We loved all the options we had to create our own style of ceremony so it really felt like us. Our guests are still raving about how personal the day was and Yvonne really did set the tone. ... Love you, Yvonne!! Highly recommended!!" 03.01.2022 Happy Anniversary to These 2 Absolute Legends! 8 years ago today, Dan and Scott tied the knot at the gorgeous Killara Estate Winery in Seville to the tune of some awesome live music provided by their industry mates fabulous food and wine courtesy of the venue and amazing family and friends courtesy of themselves Interestingly, 8th anniversaries are symbolised by bronze, but there is no doubt that you guys struck GOLD when the stars aligned and you met throu...gh your mutual love of music way back in 2003!!! Bronze stands for beauty and durability both of which Dan and Scott have in spades!! I wish you both many more years of wedded bliss with your two adorable children Finn and Issy along with your absolutely beautiful families. Let the celebrations begin!!

02.01.2022 It's so lovely to have your work validated by the expressions of gratitude from your clients - whether they are your beautiful couples (as in my case), or your customers, or colleagues and even friends. Frederick Lenz is quoted as saying, "As Buddha points out, you should not rely on the opinions of others for validation of your internal progression." However, it is still very satisfying that know that you have done well and met - or exceeded - your client's expectations.... And it's nice for others to know that this is your Modus Operandi as well!!

01.01.2022 Beating Covid Blues! This one had to make it in! Who doesn't love a zoo wedding? With not one, but two giraffes!!! This, too, is an oldie but a goodie, but in this case, I DO remember who the photographer was because we have done so many weddings together since! So a big shout out to me old mate Andrew at @passion8photography... Isn't it just the best photo?

01.01.2022 Where have those 5 years gone???? And we still haven't played in a finals series #poorBlues Cara and Nathan had their classic fairytale wedding at The International in Brighton on a gorgeous afternoon this day in 2015. Happy "Wood" Anniversary They chose to include their mums by way of presenting them both with a stunning long-stemmed rose accompanied by these beautiful words:... A mother is the truest friend we have. When trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends, who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavour by her kind precepts, and counsels, to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. ~Washington Irving Including friends and family members in your ceremony is an awesome way to make it even more personal and inclusive. Give me a shout-out if this appeals to you and I can tell you more!! Post in Comments below or message me on here or via my website - www.yvonnewoodcelebrant.com.au

01.01.2022 Happy Anniversary to These 2 Gorgeous Kids! 5 years ago today, Emma and John tied the knot at the gorgeous Marybrooke Manor in the fabulous Dandenong Ranges in a simple no fuss wedding ceremony surrounded by their dearest families and closest friends. John said, I cannot imagine a more wonderful, beautiful person to spend the rest of my life with. And Emma responded with, I can’t imagine my life without you, and I know I am so lucky to be marrying you today.... Sometimes less is more, and you don’t need much to say a lot!!! Happy Wooden Anniversary Emma and John! May you share many more olden years together! Let the celebrations begin!!
