25.01.2022 Our Healesville shop front will now be open every Friday from 10am to 5pm ongoing. Thanks to everyone for your loyalty and ongoing support over these past few weeks. MOTHERS DAY - We will be spending time next week preparing some of our old favorites including our famous tiramisu from YVPs cafe days along with some other surprises for Mothers Day! So, Dads we are here to get you sorted! Menu items will be published next week. Note that the shop will also open on Saturday 9th May, 9- 12 noon sharp for order collections. 21.01.2022 Yarra Valley Pasta’s matriarch Mary-Maria turns 70 tomorrow. I write this post today as tomorrow will be too emotional. She will be coming home for the first time in nearly eight months to celebrate this milestone birthday with her family. She has gracefully endured the cruelty of living in lockdown this year at the nursing home where she now resides, thankfully she has been treated with so much love, respect and care by every single member of their team- for this we are eternally grateful. As her insidious disease progresses- SupraNuclear Palsy, a rare form of Parkinson’s, she remains happy, witty and still reminds me to ‘not forget the salt’. Yarra Valley Pasta would not be here today if not for this brave and resilient woman. Cheers to you Mum, Nonna, Mary-Maria

06.01.2022 Its the week where we celebrate all things Artigiani or Artisan. When Nonna Mary turned on the little La Monferrina pasta machine 23years ago, she started mixing a simple durum wheat semolina and cracked egg mix in the little hopper- the most it carried or yielded was 6kg! Hours and hours of churning, folding, repeat- BY HAND! All the ravioli mixes were mixed BY HAND! Agnolotti first chefs BY HAND! Kilos and kilos of potatoes peeled, cut cooked and rolled BY HAND! ... When one day, our wonderful and energetic friend @rossmcauliffe said to Nonna Mary: what ARE you doing Maria? He walked out, shaking his head and fifteen minutes later he swung open the shop door and rolled in a dough mixer on wheels! Hed wheeled it all the way up along the footpath from the RSL.
