05.01.2022 What have we been up too? We have been navigating uncharted waters over the past few months. Like everyone having to adapt to change. With our group being relatively new, our teens prior to Covid were just starting to relax into our routine Friday night gatherings at the RSL. They were starting to really engage with the community, whilst having a lot of fun too. Then we went into lock down. This has been a very challenging time for our teenagers. Frienships, socializing,... sports, events and social get togethers are the most important thing for adolescence. However, we put our thinking hats on and came up with a weekly zoom session. This gave them the opportunity to learn how to connect with their friends, learn a new way of staying connected via the internet and still be together as a group. As soon as restrictions eased, we have recently met up for some much needed exercise in the great outdoors. They throughly enjoyed reconnecting again whilst we had walk down our fabulous rail trail. We have such a great group of teens living in our town! #teens # resilience #covid19 #stayingtogether # supportingeachother
