23.01.2022 Was an amazing race on the weekend racing the Jeff Rafferty memorial race. I am happy to have come away with 5th in A-Grade and it was great to see one of our best Cameron Mellifont take the win and the memorial trophy for the race. 18.01.2022 What a year it has been. . . This year has been one of my biggest years of racing, participating in over 19 races throughout the year from Townsville to the Gold Coast. I have enjoyed every race I have participated in and been super excited with participating in my both my first enduro and first short track race both of which I’m am looking forward to participating in again next year if I get the chance. I would like to thank Cadence Cycle Coaching for helping me get to the p...osition I am in my fitness and ability, I would also like to thank my parents for both allowing me to race all over the state and helping me reach these destinations. I would also like to thank my best mates ethan Hellwege and Cameron Mellifont - Cyclist for keeping me going through out this year and for helping during races when I need it. I would also like to thank the Mad Mountain Bike Club community for cheering me on whenever they see me racing. 11.01.2022 Hi MAD Members The MADMTBC Executive held its monthly meeting last night. One of the agenda items was the Coronavirus and how this will impact on club activiti...es. Our governing body, Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) released a statement yesterday, which recommends that all affiliated clubs reconsider upcoming events through to 31st May 2020 ‘to minimise potential exposure and pressure on the health system’. As such and in consultation with Rowallan Park Scouts, MADMTBC have taken the decision to cancel all events planned through to the 31st May 2020. Refunds will be arranged for anyone who has already entered for upcoming races. At this stage, Rowallan Park remains open and we encourage all members to continue to ride the trails whilst respecting the government recommendations around social distancing and the like. Of particular importance is maintaining basic hygiene and we require all members using the amenities facilities to exercise high levels of cleanliness around them. We are all eager to get riding again, so be reassured that as soon as it’s safe for us to get our social rides and competition season back underway you will be the first to know. We'd like to speak with him about a dual suspension MTB he stole yesterday (Wednesday 29th 4:30pm) We had a thief steal/...ride off on a bike from our store a few months ago.. so we changed our security procedures around the front door, however due to Covid-19 we decided it would be safer to have our door open at all times to keep our customers safe (no touching door handles) Unfortunately this crook has taken advantage of this and done a quick grab and run... https://www.giant-bicycles.com/au/stance-2
