09.01.2022 Dear Businesses of Gympie and Surrounds, In the midst of the destructive fires that are tearing through our country, the GRCA will be holding a fundraising day ...on Saturday the 18th of January. The images of the destruction the fires are leaving in their wake is truly horrific. We have identified one particular area East of Adelaide that we wish to help following fires that devastated the area at the end of last month. The funds we raise will go directly to the Alexandra and Eastern Hills Cricket Association who will distribute them through the Lobethal Bushfire Recovery Fund to those most in need in the local community including the local Rural Fire Service and families that have lost their homes and all possessions. Saturday the 18th of January, the 6 A grade teams in the GRCA (Colts, Valleys, Wests, Harlequins, Murgon and Kenilworth) along with Gympie Gold will all be playing fixtures at the One Mile Ovals followed by an invitational T10 game in the evening to assist in the fundraising efforts. We will be running a number of fundraising efforts throughout the day including a raffle and an auction. We are asking you to support these victims of the fires in any way you can. The following suggestions may help you identify which way you may best be able to contribute Pledging an amount per boundary or per run to any of the teams playing Donating an item to the raffle or auction Making a donation to the fundraiser this can be made by direct deposit to the following account - Bank - Heritage Bank BSB - 638 261 Account Number - 14061015 If you are able to attend the evening game to show your support, it will begin at 6pm, there will be food and drinks available during the entertainment that will also contribute to the fundraiser. 06.01.2022 Fire Relief Fundraising Auction In the midst of the devastation of fires throughout the country, the Gympie Regional Cricket Association Inc has banded together... to raise funds for those hit hardest.
