16.01.2022 We would like to thank Disaster Relief Australia for their INCREDIBLE contribution at our wildlife sanctuary over the past three weekends. Collectively the DRA team: moved more than 15 tonnes of soil by hand, cleared three acres of overgrown scrub to allow for bush regeneration and fire hazard reduction, laid more than 400m of fox-proof wire along our perimeter fence, dug trenches to lay electrical cabling to some of our new animal enclosures, widened the fire-break around the sanctuary and helped paint and repair our education and discovery centre! Our Zambi volunteers thoroughly enjoyed working alongside and learning from the DRA team. We are immensely grateful for the tireless and selfless efforts of this phenomenal organisation.

14.01.2022 So much amazing progress from just one weekend! Looking forward to weekend #2!

13.01.2022 We were incredibly fortunate to have a very special volunteer come and do some hard labour at our sanctuary this week. None other than the world-renowned neurosurgeon, Dr Charlie Teo. Charlie took a day out of his extremely busy schedule to help with some of our building projects. We can’t thank Charlie enough for his selfless generosity and ongoing support for the Zambi vision. 11.01.2022 Our good friends at Sydney Wildlife (Sydney Metropolitan Wildlife Services) are putting their amazing Mobile Care Unit to great use! The van was deployed to the fire grounds to treat injured wildlife earlier this year. It’s now available for carers from any rescue organisation to take injured native animals to for treatment. Keep up the incredible work guys! https://www.northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au//local-wildlife-car

10.01.2022 PROGRESS UPDATE After yet another MASSIVE weekend of work, things are really starting to take shape at the sanctuary. New fencing and entry gates are in, lots of earth moving, our first new enclosure is nearing completion and our education and discovery centre has had a face lift. We even hosted the full Zambi Board of Directors and Advisory Commitee for a tour of the site and many exciting discussions about how to continue the momentum and progress already made. ... Watch this space. This is just the beginning.

05.01.2022 We are beyond grateful and absolutely thrilled to have the incredible voluntary team from Disaster Relief Australia set up camp at our sanctuary over the next three weekends. Yesterday we moved around 20 tonnes of soil by hand, and today we have over 30 volunteers coming to help with our bushfire prevention plan! Thank you to DRA for their support. The vision we are creating here for our native wildlife truly is a collective effort, made possible by so many selfless people and organisations.
