19.01.2022 Feeling like you need a time out? I was too!! Life can get busy and overwhelming at times and it can all just feel like too much. It happened to me this week and I knew I needed a time out to just be still and to reconnect with myself. Instead of judging what you feel or being annoyed and angry about it try to look at it as a sign to slow down and take a break. Whatever you do don't ignore it!!... So here is what I have been up to the last few days as I took some time off social media. Self Care is super important to me and I am grateful that I am able to identify the signs and listen to my body when it is asking me to stop. While I shut out the world I went in, felt into my body and what it needed. I meditated daily, did some gentle yoga and breath work and spent a lot of time in nature. During these times I love to journal and read, when I read I always feel at peace. If you feel like you need some self care, just do it. Find the time even if it is just 30 min a day. What are some of your self care rituals? Please share them below.
12.01.2022 People often ask me why "Zamin" and what does it mean. I figured it was time I shared the meaning behind it with you all. I knew my business name had to represent the "earth" or mother nature in some way so when I learned of the word Zamin and its meaning I knew it was the perfect fit. ... I am all about mumma earth, she nourishes us with her goodness daily she is us and we are her. Always grateful for her abundance and his is my way to honour her.
11.01.2022 Today is the international day of yoga!!! I am so grateful that yoga found its way into my life. What started as doing a few stretches to heal my back became a life long love affair. Yoga has helped me deal with some pretty heavy emotional stuff, it has helped me cope when things became too hard. Yoga teaches me daily how to live a life of purpose, a life filled with love, compassion and kindness. ... Yoga helped me to find myself, to love my self and accept my self just the way I am. I will forever cherish this practice as a teacher and as a student. How has yoga changed your life? If you are yet to start practicing yoga, what is stopping you?

03.01.2022 Today was a hard day I am not going to lie. My head has been all over the place, feeling all the emotions, anger, rage, frustration, sadness and so much more. When I am in a funk like this it takes me a while to get out of it BUT when I do, I am stronger better version of myself. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? Anyway I picked up a book and opened it to a page with this quote on it, how I needed to hear it. That is the universal magic right there. I am shari...ng it with you in case you needed to hear it too!! Sending you peace my friends...and love because love makes the world go round.
02.01.2022 Why should you learn how to crawl before trying to walk and what does that have to do with yoga? I am about to tell you. The beautiful thing about our brain is that it acts like a computer. It stores information that it later recalls when needed. This means that when we do something we act from memory, because we have done it before we know what to do ...right? I am sure you have heard the saying you never forget how to ride a bike. ... Often times I see students frustrated or saying things like " I am not good at yoga". How can you be "good" at something you have never done before? Instead of making judgement or giving up on yoga try approaching it in a new way. You see a baby doesn't just get up and walk, it first learns how to crawl, than how to stand, than walk while holding on and finally they let go. It is a process a learning experience. Your brain needs time to work out how to get you into the shape you want and the only way it can do this is if you keep trying and well "failing". The brain will record all of this information, it will know what not to do and will learn what it should do to get you where you want to be. SO instead of giving up or getting frustrated approach your practice from a place of understanding. Knowing that the more you give it a go and the more you show up the more likely you are to succeed. This also applies to life in general, never give up on anything after trying it only once. What blocks do you have in your life or yoga practice?
