23.01.2022 So it’s the morning after the fun and games. Many people are left a little off colour. Could be too many treats or that face paint or makeup leaving a trick. So I’m going to share my tips and tricks for safe gentle removal. Feel free to repost and share with your friends. 1. Gently wash skin with a cleanser and water to remove the bulk. 2. Apply an oil(coconut, jojoba or avocado or olive work well), or a face balm and gently massage into stained areas. Then using a damp wash...er(microfibres work best), cotton pad or wipe(last resort) wipe away excess. Repeat if necessary. 3. Halloween ‘blood’ is notorious for staining. My favourite tip is apply shaving cream lather and sit on skin for a little bit then wipe off. 10.01.2022 Monday Make up tip: Highlighter should be applied to the areas you want to stand out and bring forward(think height of cheekbones, brow bones, tip of nose). Use Copper tones on darker complexions, golden tones on olive skins and champagne on fairer tones. And look for glowy, glossier finishes instead of glittery for more natural lit effects. 07.01.2022 Lets talk about weather impacts on our skin. In Brisbane at the moment it is hot and humid which mean sweat and oil ruining your perfectly made up face in ten minutes of application. Some useful tips to combat this: 1. Less is more in this weather. Opt for a much more natural buildable coverage. And only build it up where you really need too. Think BBc and CC creams and mineral powders. Because the more your skin can breath the less your skin will sweat. 2. Summer in Qld ...means you will neeed a strong SPF on your face and neck but layering products will make you sweat so look for multitasking bases(ones that already contain SPF). I personally recommend @janeiredale_australia mineral products. Theyre HD quality and still good for your skin. 3. Only Bake where and when you absolutely need too as once again your skin needs to breath. 4. Drink heaps of water and use Hydrating moisturisers. Often in A/C fans and heat our skin becomes dehydrated(lacking in water) so produces oils to compensate. So take care of your skin. 5. Fake dont Bake. Sun damage is permanent and irreversible and often deadly. 6. However we still need to be safe in the balance of health and hinderance. Which is why choosing the right sun protection is so important. For those of you who don’t know I have vitiligo(a skin condition that results in the lack of pigmentation). Therefore my white patches burn exceptionally easily. 03.01.2022 How to make your make up last longer then the fizz in your Champagne? In summer I get asked this a lot. So I thought Id share some pointers. 1. is alcohol will dehydrate you so make sure you really hydrate your skin before you apply your make up. Take an extra 10 mins to use a mask trust me it helps. 2. in the heat youre going to have to set and usually either blot or repowder. So I recommend a lighter application to your t zone to begin with as this will let your skin bre...ath a bit(therefore minimise over production of oil/sweat) and also you wont look so caked on as the night progresses. 3.Eyeliners can be problematic in summer so look for longwear ones that set they wont smudge under your eyes. I think investing in a lash tint is a must in summer to prevent the panda eyes that seem to come mid way through dinner. Summer is a time of fresh glowy skin so minimal is best and most flattering. 4.
