23.01.2022 Let's talk GREYS... Sometimes its ok to go grey gracefully! So many focus on full coverage but there are plenty of women who wish to start growing in their natural greys. This lovely lady wants to look natural while letting her hair do it's thing, so we added some dark ash foils to take out the warmth from previous "cover ups" We also added some baby lights around the top centre of her hairline and toned them grey to achieve some more subtle lightness to match her sides.... 13.01.2022 I LOVE MY JOB!!! It's not just making people look and feel good on the outside, it's sharing their journey... I have been through countless divorces, helped people who have been abused find a way out, watched women who raised children on their own with dead beat dads who never help out or want anything to do with their children, go through the heartache of still borns, miscarriages and women being told they cannot have children, watched stories of women sad and lonely find lo...ve and happiness, women who had a massive life change and start their careers later on in life and watch them blossom, babys that grow up and still come to me for their hair and tell me their dreams and what they want to be when they grow up, countless cancer journeys and heartache, tears, laughter, sadness, loss and happiness all in one place. I don't only "do" hair i serve a purpose, which is to help people reach their full potential, to be the shoulder they need when they have no hope to make everyone feel special and loved and remember how fabulous they are. It's sending flowers to cheer someone up or celebrate their achievements. My best memory was a little lady who was in a nursing home who only had one eye (she lost her husband in the war 30yrs prior and they never had children) she had no family or friends and she would come in weekly for her usual set/blowdry she ended up in hospital and never came out... i would visit her on my lunch break and watch antiques roadshow with her and listen to her stories til her last breath. Her last words to the nurses were "i am so happy to have such a beautiful friend and hairdresser in my life" words that have stayed with me forever...that is what life is about being there for other's and helping them smile and an added bonus of making them look as gorgeous on the outside as they are on the inside. I see so many clients asking myself and other stylists to go light in one session but have a history of home hair colour and nasty home products that make the removal of colour even harder. Colour is science and there are sooo many underlining aspects that you don't see eg history, texture, thickness, porosity, nationality, and a whole lot more so please understand it takes time to achieve a colour change as big as this one and expect to pay $$ for the work that is involved with such a big transformation. https://www.facebook.com/44389181906/posts/10158250789996907/

These photo's don't do it any justice I LOVE using my experience and technical knowledge to break through colour problems and make hair work for my client's not the other way around because let's be real no one styles hair like your hairdresser so we need to make it seemless for you to feel fabulous in between visits not just when you leave the salon... Am i right?
