25.01.2022 The Violet Town Community Market WILL be running on Saturday, 12th June. However, so that it runs within the current COVID regulations and to keep our community... safe, the following regulations have had to be put into place. No stallholders or Patrons from Melbourne will be allowed to attend this Market. We now have a Services Victoria QR code so to make your entry to the Market quick and easy, ensure you have the Services Victoria App on your phone. If you are unable to download the app on your phone you will need to queue at the front tent to be registered electronically. In addition, as Melbournians are not free to travel to Regional Victoria, You will need to bring some ID with you that can verify your residency in Regional Victoria. There will be a police presence at the market doing random checks and you will also be asked by Market staff at the entries to show some ID if you are unknown to them. You will be asked to show the green success tick on your phone to staff as you go through the gate. As we do not have enough volunteers to manage multiple entries, there will only be two entrances (the Main gate and Bowls Club entrance), so there may be queues. You must be seated or outside the Market to consume food or drink. You must wear a mask at all time in the market precinct as 1.5m physical distancing will be difficult to maintain. Do NOT Come If - - You are experiencing cold or flu symptoms. - You are waiting on a Covid 19 test result. - You have been in close contact with someone waiting on a Covid 19 test result. - You have been in contact with a positive Covid 19 case. - You have been directed to isolate. - You are from Melbourne (We are very much looking forward to when you can attend).
