18.01.2022 Tasmanian alluvial gold from the west and north west coast now available in Zeehan Rock Shop show room Main Street Zeehan , these parcels have been produced recently from the Long Plains Gold Field near Savage River , West Coast , and streams that cut the Wynyard formation on the North West Coast . 14.01.2022 Winter prospecting in the Stanley River a Main tributary of the Pieman , historic reports have suggested small Sapphire were seen in tin sluicing operations on the Livingston Flat Stanley River tin field from about 1910 through to the early 1920ties . This is a very remote area and hasn’t been thoroughly tested .

Looking forward to catching up with old customers and meeting new , I have over a thousand Tasmanian mineral specimens on display including some new discoveries made over the winter months , happy to give my regular customers some West Coast fossicking guidance.
