20.01.2022 Dear students, parents & friends of our dance school. Due to the PANDEMIC OUTBREAK OF THE COVID-19 the best way to ensure our students and families stay safe is... to follow the safety measures put out by health.gov.au Even though schools are still open, they are ordered by the health dept to practice distancing and sitting 1.5 meters away from each other. In theory this may be possible but are preparing to hold online lessons and possible longer school holidays. Due to the nature of Greek dance, we hold hands , we sweat , we are in close proximity with each other etc. .... Thus, after careful deliberation & in contact with relevant authorities , I have decided to POSTPONE ALL CLASSES. Unfortunately all activities not just dance school will be cancelled due to the seriousness of this situation. However don’t stress WE WILL BE LIVE STREAMING GREEK DANCE LESSONS FOR ALL TO JOIN IN FROM NEXT WEEK! More info in our next post ! Stay tuned! I have no reason to believe anybody in my classes is in danger of contracting thevirus, nor has any parent reported any Corona virus case for our dance school but it’s best SAFE THAN SORRY TO IMMEDIATELY POSTPONE ALL ACTIVITIES scheduled. We will be in close contact with all enrolled and make sure our dance environment will be safe before we all return. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience. All facebook friends around the world . if you isolated or lockdown or just keeping safe at home due to COVID -19. On Monday I will be announcing LIVE STREAM FREE sessions times: 1. For Greek dance, 2. Origins of dances/ story/ meaning of traditional dances from different parts of Greece. INBOX ME if there is a dance you want me to present. 3.Easter Greek traditions & dances, 4. Greek traditional recipes YES ILL BE COOKING TOO! 5. Traditional Greek games for kids 6. a pic or video of precious Greek antique "KIMILIO" you have at home. eg your great grandfathers tsarouxia or your a traditional family airloom costume past down from generation to generation, greek paintings, craft or even the hand knitted, woven clothes or petsetakia made or tsevrethes from your mum or grandmother. I am hoping to organise interactive online activities encouraging everybody around Australia, to send me pics or video clips of eg wearing Greek costumes, playing a Greek instrument, singing yiAYIAS SONGS, OR JUST SAYING HI!......SO MANY POSSIBILITIES! ANYBODY CAN JOIN NOT ONLY IN AUSTRALIA & GREECE BUT AROUND THE WORLD! ALL GREEK DANCE & CULTURAL ENTHUSIAST INBOX ME YOUR STORY, OR VIDEO OR RECEPIES or better still a video of mum or yiayia cooking, a theatrical thing OR JUST SAY HI ! LETS KEEP DANCE , CULTURE AND OUR RELIGION ALIVE EVEN IF WE ARE SELF ISOLATING OR IN LOCKDOWN....
