01.01.2022 Nouredinne Zekhnini: Senior coaching staff Noureddine Zekhnini was born in Morocco in 1983 and he learned to play football on the street, like all other Morocca...n footballers do. Noureddine loved the game so much he joined the junior football school of Wydad Casablanca for 3 years. This is the biggest club in Morocco. He then headed to Germany and played at a semi professional level with a number of different clubs including FC Sachsen Leipzig. In 2006 he moved to Australia and continued his involvement in football through coaching. Noureddine spent time at FC Wanderers in 2009 in Toowoomba QLD and then Altona City in 2010. In 2011 he joined the Richmond Soccer Club who played in the then, Victorian Premier League, and successfully coached the under 15 Manchester United Club team through to the quarterfinals. He continued coaching at Richmond for the season in various age groups including under 16’s,13’s and 9’s kangaroos. Noureddine is one of the coaches who helped start the successful Collingwood City Junior Soccer Club in 2013. The club started with 40 players and now has over 450 members in 2016. It has earned a reputation for developing young players and is associated with NPL clubs as their feeder program. He coaches numerous junior boys squads at CCFC. In 2013 he also coached a group of under 15/16 boys playing in an under 18 competition and won the championship. The following year the same team won the State Championship playing under 20's league. Noureddine shows enormous dedication to his players and our club and he has coached and developed many players at all levels. He takes his role as a coach and mentor of young men seriously and he works hard and expects this of his players as well. By earning their respect, Noureddine has been able to impact on them and progress their soccer ability and love of the game. He encourages his players to strive for personal excellence and this has allowed many of his boys to move into NPL clubs to take the next step in their development pathway.
