25.01.2022 This week Zen Landscaping Queensland with Porter Designs presented to Queensland Health representatives a Master Concept Plan for the proposed Mt Lofty Nursing Home "Healing Gardens". With a strong indigenous flavor carried into the design, this project, when completed will be open to the public and will be a place for Toowoomba residents and visitors to enjoy. We hope you like it

25.01.2022 Early days of a new Landscaping project at this Eastern Darling Downs property which boasts one of the most impressive bottle trees that we have seen. Its girth measuring over 6 metres

24.01.2022 Stone entrance wall completed and a mixed bag of jobs this week.....paving....concreting (Mt Peel)...corten steel mail box and plenty of timber work

24.01.2022 And the Empire Zoysia turf we laid just prior to Christmas completes our Landscaping in this front yard. This lawn will perform well under the open canopy of the large Pin Oak tree that is centrally located in this large front yard.... and some very happy clients as well

22.01.2022 A mixed bag of jobs over the last few weeks for the Zen crew with more ahead of us. Toowoomba Regional Council jobs at Glen Lomond Park, Ravensbourne, Haden and Westbrook...paving, planting and concrete at private residences. Weather has been kind to the lads so far...lets hope it stays that way.

22.01.2022 Some interesting additions to a large country garden and now that the rain has eased we can make some more progress

22.01.2022 We havent stopped since our last post. Several projects underway and coming up. New home in Pittsworth to Landscape...two Toowoomba escarpement homes with plenty of retainer walls, miles of pipe and chain wire fencing. Design for the historic Spring Bluff Railway Cottage. Zen crew getting plenty of variety in there work

20.01.2022 One of our jobs this week was to relocate a Canary Palm from Gowrie Junction to a clients home in Biddeston. A little stubborn to come out and heavy than we expected but its now standing in its new home. Thanks to Scott from Dolley Dirt Works for your assistance

20.01.2022 The Zen crew have been working on this stone clad entry statement wall at Ravensbourne using random Toowoomba bluestone rock. Over 9 tonne of stone will be used to complete the entry walls that will give them a perfectly rustic finish.

20.01.2022 The concept plans for the "Healing Gardens" Qld Health, Mount Lofty Toowoomba. Looking forward to seeing these plans turn into reality.....stay tuned.

19.01.2022 This week we have been in the Chinchilla area working on the property, "Wieambilla". Nice to be working out in the country adding gardens and paths around the sprawling homestead. We even had "Buddy" the family chocolate Labrador to help us out!

19.01.2022 Demolition day today at this East Toowoomba home ready for a Landscaping makeover. Travertine clad paths, circular water feature, lighting and a truck load of plants to come. Landscape design by Porter Designs of Brisbane.

19.01.2022 One of the jobs we have been doing this week is making repairs to a number of recently installed additions to Jack Duggan park that were vandalised a few weeks back. Nice view from this spot albeit brown ..... perhaps "Sam" would like to come forward

18.01.2022 Some good news for us. A refurbishment design of a Murweh Shire Park in Charleville that we undertook with Porter Designs has won a "Park of the Year Award". Got to be happy with that .

17.01.2022 10 Years ago now since we undertook this display at the Queensland Garden Expo in Nambour and we took out a Silver award in the Landscaping competition......a lot of Landscaping has past under the bridge since then :) ! Its been a fantastic journey with some fantastic crew members of Zen and the wonderful clients who have chosen Zen Landscaping Queensland for their projects :)

17.01.2022 Firepit area under construction at Prince Henry Heights Toowoomba. If we get this one done quickly we might even get to light the fire and enjoy the views south across to Picnic Point

17.01.2022 Spring is definitely upon us. Some of the colour in our garden despite the dry conditions. Enjoy the first day of spring everyone :)

16.01.2022 First job underway for 2020 is a new playground area at a local state school. Plenty of timber and raw materials utilised to keep things as natural as possible. Will be completed ready for return to school in the coming weeks.

16.01.2022 Wow, 8 years has gone by since we put this Landscaping display together at the 2011 Carnival of Flowers, Flower Food and Wine Festival. Wish the park was looking this green at the moment. Its amazing that this year the Carnival of Flowers celebrations are turning 70. If your going have an awesome weekend :)

14.01.2022 The Zen Landscaping crew have been getting on top of things in Middle Ridge Toowoomba. This Adbri masonry wall has been carved into the escarpment to make way for an extension to the existing home.

14.01.2022 This week the Zen Landscaping team have been creatively piecing together stone clad pathways and tiled pond area of this outdoor space. Almost ready to add water and plants to complete. At a different location we have been installing a sensory playground using a variety of materials including laser cut panels and textured paths to stimulate the young minds who will play in them.

11.01.2022 Roma College senior campus is looking much greener now after the Zen Landscaping crew installed over 750m2 of artificial lawn. Like many areas Roma has had little rain so the transformation is welcome to these high traffic areas within the school grounds where grass struggles to grow.

11.01.2022 It is always rewarding to watch your work in gardens evolve over time. Simply.... colour, texture and shapes working here with a splash of bluestone.

10.01.2022 Well its been a long time in the making but this art work should look awesome when it is installed at its new home in Middle Ridge, Toowoomba this week. A lot of sweat, probably blood and tears went into its construction. Thanks to Deano at Toowoomba Engineering and his crew for playing a big part in bringing it to life. Promise I wont bother you with another great idea for a couple of weeks. Lol :)

08.01.2022 A big set of steps going in by the Zen Landscaping team to lead down to a new tennis court on this Biddeston property. Competing with the flies is testing the lads out

07.01.2022 Moffat Beach Sunshine Coast......just for something different

07.01.2022 This water feature is starting to take shape now. A lot of preparation work before it gets to this point to incorporate power for lighting and water pump, drainage for cleaning, top up and overflow plumbing. The walls and base of the water feature are reinforced for added strength to maintain the ponds integrity. There will be pedestrian access via large bluestone steppers across the centre of the pond that will give the appearance the slabs of stone are floating. Next job is to clad the concrete surfaces in stone, stay tuned.

06.01.2022 The Zen Landscaping crew turning a pile of recycled random bluestone pieces into a grand entrance path. Fred Flintstone would be proud of us

04.01.2022 This beautiful old Queenslander in central Toowoomba is getting some additional makeover work by the Zen crew to make a few areas on the site more useable for the client. New driveway, court yard/exercise area and entrance area to complete the new front fence recently installed.

04.01.2022 A change of look for this East Toowoomba home....to start with the demolition of two pools....well actually a concrete pool built inside another concrete pool ......going to be on this one for a while

03.01.2022 The Zen Landscaping crew have been very busy through Covid 19 and I will post more pictures soon of some of the work completed. Today we delivered and positioned this Stainless Steel balancing cube to finish the renovations on this East Toowoomba home. After the removal of a 9m x 4m concrete pool this space is now very open and uncluttered. Travertine tiled sitting area and sculpture centre piece on a beautiful St Augusta lawn is all you need with a view past the hedge and down the Lockyer Valley

03.01.2022 Well this job was a little challenging due to its location. Access could only be achieved via two neighboring properties for all retainer wall and paving materials. See the before and after photo's..... definitely a structural transformation of a broken down back yard into a very usable space. The Zen crew did a fantastic job...again.

03.01.2022 This beautiful retainer wall has been constructed from recycled Toowoomba bluestone which had formed an old entry pathway into this spralling east Toowoomba home. The wall will now be capped with sawn bluestone pieces to complete. A big improvement from the poorly installed timber retainer wall that once stood in its place.

02.01.2022 Working on another project for Toowoomba Regional Council in Cathro Park, City area. If it ever rains again here our embankment stabilisation work may be put to the test. Installation of coconut fibre blankets and a thousand pins, wires and star pickets to prevent it being washed away. Great work from the Zen Landsacsping crew.

02.01.2022 The brief for this project at a large Toowoomba escarpment home was to create an intimate garden with sitting area, joining paths and pond to walk over. Tucked into a quite corner of the yard the gardens will have a Balinese twist, stone from Eco Outdoors will cover the concrete surfaces to provide a natural feel and look. The pond will be finished with stepping stones that link paths and the sitting area. Soft lighting will be added to the garden and pond to create a different atmosphere at night. Stay tuned for pictures of the completed project in the coming weeks.

01.01.2022 We have been installing signs this week for Toowoomba Regional Council (Table Top) and the Downs Club along with some small Landscape make over work. Visit Jack Duggan Park to take in this view and learn about "the battle of one tree hill" !
