14.01.2022 Dear Friend, Here is the information I am trying to get across to the leaders in government and medical profession. As you may be aware, I am a retired medical ...practitioner with over 40 years of medical practice and teaching experience. I originally specialised in Immunology but decided in my early career to focus on the nutritional aspects of the immune system. I believe the government is doing a fantastic job with respect to trying to contain the Covid-19 virus. However, we dont have an antiviral drug or a vaccine to attack the virus. We do have a very powerful defence in the vitamin D molecule. You can understand that, as a defence, vitamin D supports and protects the immune system and improves its functions. We can make these TGA approved claims. It has other actions as well. Vitamin D supplementation prevents acute respiratory illnesses. Thus it prevents pneumonia and death from severe lung disease. This is a scientific fact. It has been published in the British Medical Journal. The mechanisms of action are also known. I have been campaigning widely to try to get the government to introduce it, especially to the elderly and others at high risk. I have a lot of support from many of my peers worldwide.
