23.01.2022 Its all a bit overwhelming seeing what is going on around us at the moment, but we are determined to continue to service our community as best we can. We can still prepare wills and powers of attorney, we have just amended our processes slightly to ensure if you do need to attend our office to have it signed you are in and out in a flash ( as much as we'd love to have a chat its nothing personal at the moment), we can also facilitate the whole process without seeing you at all if you can get 2 adults who are not in your will to witness your signatures, we will supply you with all the information you need to get these important documents signed in a legally acceptable form. Call us or visit our website for details https://www.zenlaw.com.au/wills-instructions-sheet/

22.01.2022 Have a family law issue? Need Legal Aid? We are still helping our clients in these situations. Legal Aid have just allowed us to lodge applications without the need to have you sign the declaration personally so we can continue to provide much needed assistance via email, video link and telephone. Call us we are all still working (with no personal client appointments) and can answer any questions you may have about parenting orders, divorce, property settlements etc. Courts are still dealing with family law matters but remotely only, the back log is growing so we do suggest that if you think you may need to use the courts talk to us now to see if we can help get your matter resolved some other way out of court or get it on the ever growing waiting lists sooner rather than later. 1300 ZENLAW (936 529) or (03) 9758 3366

17.01.2022 The validity of your Will can be challenged after you die if a person you had a responsibility to provide for, believes you haven't left them a fair share of your assets. Speak to us about ensuring there are no loop holes in your will and how to safely leave someone, like an ex spouse or estranged child, out of your will. .http://www.zenlaw.com.au/wills-probate-estates/

The remaining days of winter might be a great time to finally get around to sorting out your Wills and Powers of Attorney, fill in our instruction sheet from the comfort of your own home ( snuggled up on the couch if you must) and you will only need to brave the cold once to visit us to sign it all up and go into the warmer months with one less worry. 02.01.2022 Corona virus ( covid-19) : With recent announcements from government asking us all to socially distance and take extra precautions to try prevent the spread of this virus we have decided to implement a few changes. Firstly our staff all have families, some with school age children, we are equipped to allow our staff to work from home should the need to self isolate occur if schools and the like are shut. We are also asking our clients who may be ill or displaying any flu l...ike symptoms to not attend our offices, we can offer telephone or skype conferences to cover most situations and are considering whether we implement this strategy across all consultations for the short term. We have also implemented a cleaning regime to ensure that office surfaces are wiped down regularly. To assist us in managing the traffic in our offices we ask that all clients call before attending to ensure it is appropriate to do so as we may have limited staff in the actual office if isolation is required and we are wanting to limit the number of people in the office at any one time. At this point the courts have not suspended personal appearances and we will be attending courts this week for current matters and will advise if this changes. It is business as usual for us right now and we will work with our clients wherever possible to ensure matters continue to progress despite what looks like a very disruptive period ahead. See more
