04.01.2022 ZenThai Shiatsu is based on the Chinese healing system and the five elements. This means that when I give a treatment to someone I take their pulse and look at ...their tongue to help me bring further healing by balancing their state of being. The EARTH ELEMENT seems to be a major theme for most clients this month. Earth is all about your spleen and stomach and looks at not just how you digest food but also how you digest life. Are you allowing yourself to access support and nurturing on all levels? Do you worry or overthink things too much? Do you feel congested and weighed down? These are only a few indicators of spleen deficiencies and there are many many things that you can do to help nurture your Earth Element. Here are a few tips that benefit everyone: - Exercise everyday, even a slow walk or deep breathing can go a long way - Avoid sugar, cereals, rich foods and cold (raw) or processed foods - Eat slowly, chew well - Connect with nature - put your feet on the earth, notice the beauty that surrounds you and let your worry fade away!
