24.01.2022 Hello to my Facebook followers :) As you may have seen I've been a bit quiet on here lately, so a big update is well needed! Recently I've just completed a time consuming IT support contract with a large organisation, and have completed that contract feeling refreshed and armed with even more skills than ever before. Right now there are plans in the works for a few product lines that I would like to start marketing by the end of this year, as well as a general refresh of the... IT products, services and repairs that I already provide. I have also started to provide IT support to several small businesses and am looking to compete with bigger companies in that regard, with my lower support prices and extensive overall knowledge and problem solving skills giving me an edge. If you run or know someone that runs a small business and needs a hand with their computer systems, backups, networking or upgrades then drop them a hint that it's highly likely I could be saving them on both stress and money in this area! Finally as the picture suggests I can now take even more payment methods than ever before, with the addition of Amex and JCB card processing joining existing Visa, Mastercard, Eftpos, PayPal, bank transfer and cash payment types - all without ANY extra fees to you. I'll be taking a few weeks off over August as recovery time but will be back to continue work for all of my loyal customers and friends ASAP. It should go without saying that I would not be operating nearly a year on without you, so thank you all! -Zenny

17.01.2022 More than just a backyard job! A few people have asked me if my products and services are covered by any sort of guarantee or warranty. The answer is yes, absolutely! I want to ensure all of my customers are happy with anything I sell them, and that you have peace of mind that I won't abandon you if something goes wrong. Every new product that I sell is covered by a standard 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects or faults. ... The labour that I provide for repairs and servicing is also covered for 12 months against any issues that arise with the quality of my work. Some customers have also pointed out that most of my products and services are much cheaper than any local retail store or computer shop, which is mostly thanks to my low overheads. This doesn't mean you have to sacrifice on quality or professionalism. All of my work is electronically tracked and invoiced, I accept multiple methods of payment to suit you, and my experience and knowledge in the field of consumer IT is something I am very proud of. 16.01.2022 Launceston is now officially the first city in the country to offer a retail gigabit internet service over the NBN! Gigabit internet is 10x faster than the currently available fastest connection, and 100x faster than the national average! This means big things - not only for existing businesses utilising digital technology more and more, but also for companies where ultra high speed broadband is necessary for their day to day operations who can now migrate or open new offices in Tasmania should they wish to. Congrats launtel, we will be keeping a close eye on how this effects the future of our humble town (and state!) :D

15.01.2022 We were pulling apart a laptop to get access to the hard drive and thought this picture might be interesting to those that have no idea what the insides of a laptop looks like under the hood! 14.01.2022 Who says you need a brand new PC to play the latest games? A customer of mine had a high end gaming PC built by us around 4 years ago. It consists of an i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, 240GB SSD, and a NVIDIA GTX 670 graphics card. Nearly top of the line when it was new, but now days would struggle to play the latest games on max detail settings. Most of the machine was still very fast - all it needed was a new graphics card! We went with the powerful MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X, and while we we...re there decided to install a new 500GB solid-state drive with a fresh install of Windows 10. After a good service and the new parts were installed, I was hard pressed to notice a difference between this machine and a brand new gaming PC :D So before you spend thousands on a new PC, why not find out if you old one can be upgraded?

10.01.2022 Game consoles seem like the kind of device that you can't easily upgrade for more performance, but we actually offer a major upgrade to the most powerful game console on the market - the PlayStation 4! The hard drive inside the PS4 (and the PS3) can be replaced with a bigger and faster drive for noticeably decreased game load times, improved system responsiveness and a larger capacity for more game installs or media. Pictured here is an upgrade we recently completed from the... stock 500GB drive in a PS4 to a hybrid 1TB SSHD with 8GB of super fast NAND flash memory. Not only do games now load faster but there is double the storage capacity! If you get your drive upgraded with Zentury we do all of the hard work for you including transferring your data from the old drive to the new one, and servicing the console to clean it of all dust that may cause the console to run hot and loud. We offer larger drives for more space, hybrid "solid state hard drives" (SSHD) for improved load times and space, and for the ultimate speed boost we also offer full blown solid state drive (SSD) upgrades too, all of which come right up to 2TB in size! 07.01.2022 After having your smartphone professionally repaired by Zentury, why not protect your investment with a screen protector? We stock screen protectors for all of the common iPhone and Android models. If we don't have what you need we can order it and have it to your door within 3 business days. Most of our tempered glass screen protectors come in at just $20, but we can fit them to your phone alongside any standard mobile device repair for only $15 extra! We also offer plastic ...film screen protectors on some models for $10 extra, if you don't mind a lower level of protection. Although not shown in this photo we also stock very cheap phone cases for most models, to help prevent damage from occurring due to drops. Be aware that that although screen protectors and cases can often prevent major damage to your screen or phone exterior, nothing can 100% protect it against all impacts.

07.01.2022 Quick announcement! As of today I am no longer taking on phone or tablet repairs for new customers. This is due to a temporary increase in IT support work that I am about to commence from March through to July. For existing customers I will continue to provide the full range of mobile device repairs, and as soon as I have the time will resume taking on new customers for those jobs. This does not affect any customers that are looking to have their laptops, desktops or game co...nsoles serviced. I will endeavour to continue providing my full range of sales, upgrades and repairs for those types of devices. If you are a new customer and need help with your mobile device I will be more than happy to refer you to a trusted business that can provide the service you need :) -Zenny

04.01.2022 Laptop or desktop running a little hot? Heat is the biggest killer of electronics. It can manifest itself as a computer that is slow, crashes, shuts down, or is just generally noisy. Usually heat is kept within safe levels using ventilation and fans, but over time these will become clogged with dust. Blowing this dust out of where it shouldn't be is a quick and safe process involving high pressured airflow produced by an electronics duster as pictured. We perform this clean... on every computer, printer, game console, as well as some of the mobile devices that are looked at by Zentury. If you are noticing any of the above issues or would like a clean of your device before any problems arise then just ask us to have your device booked in to be serviced or repaired!

02.01.2022 Happy holidays from us at Zentury Technologies! Thanks again for the support from all of our customers this year :) We've been going through some changes lately, so it has been a little quiet from us on social media. Next year we will be restructuring all of our products and services on offer, so stay tuned for more info soon... 02.01.2022 You may have heard about the recent global ransomware cyber attacks which have been holding the files stored on compromised computers in an encrypted form - one that can only be decrypted with the swift payment of a digital currency known as "Bitcoins". This virus can infect any computer running Windows XP through to 10 should they not have the latest security patches installed. At Zentury Technologies we highly recommend separate backups are kept up to date with all of the important files you store in digital form. This will protect your data from other viruses or hardware failure. We are proud to state that all of the computers bought from or set up by us in the past were fully protected from this particular attack using the right security software and configuration from day 1!

01.01.2022 Thank you to all of the new customers I have had since Zentury Technologies started operating just a few months ago. Without you I would not have been able to pursue the dream of running my own business. I hope to continue to provide my services to you and your families into 2017!
