22.01.2022 Set Intentions For the vast majority of us, our days do not involve planning battles - though it may feel that way sometimes. But whatever we may anticipate needing to tackle, it can be useful to do so with clear intentions. This is different to affirmations or goals, intentions are about what we want to feel. Imagine them as signs guiding you to where you want to be. Intentions have no limits, so don't be afraid to be ambitious. Choose intentions that align with your values, for example: "May I feel open to new opportunities." But don't attach expectations to your intentions, rather, embrace them as attitudes you want to embody. You might even like to try setting an intention before meditation, as it can be particularly helpful in guiding your thoughts and actions.

20.01.2022 Freedom We've become so reliant on our digital devices, that they seem as though they powerfully direct our lives. It might not always feel like it, but its definitely possible to set aside our smart phones and other devices. They can be incredibly useful - in some cases even for practicing mindfulness - but they also regularly become distractions, pulling our awareness away from what really matters. Try blocking out an hour a day to put away all screens, including; phones, tablets, laptops and TV's. And use this time to cook a nice meal, read a book, play a board game with the kids, venture outside, or anything that doesn't require a screen. Over time, increase the amount of time away from digital devices. See how you go, it might be easier than you think once you break the habit. And your stress levels are bound to decrease.
