22.01.2022 Hey there - I am having trouble with my hotmail group email again. Here is the text of an email I sent out earlier today which only reached about 5 actual people. If you could pass this on to anyone you know who might be interested, but may not be a facebook user, that would be grand. Hello again While I haven't made much progress on a venue for another 'Bay Folk' night, I do have an invitation which some of you might find of interest. Before our trip overseas I had gotten... into the habit of dropping in to Fx of Coffee on the Esplanade in Torquay on a Wednesday morning to play for a while. It seemed like a better idea then another practice session at home. It's strictly acoustic, but it is a very small coffee shop and it seemed to work just fine. The proprietor, Andrew, seems quite happy with the arrangement and we thought that some of you might be interested in coming along to play a tune or just grab a coffee and enjoy the music. Now precisely zero planning has gone in to this idea and it may not work at all and for many of you the tiny inconvenience of work might get in the way, but, if you are so inclined, on any Wednesday morning for the rest of the year you are welcome to come along to play, sing along or just enjoy. I try to get there by 9:30 ish and a couple of hours would be the maximum time we would have. The coffee shop is on the corner of the esplanade and Witt St. - just across from the coffee shop that Santini's just opened up on the other corner of the esplanade and Witt St. Maybe we will see you there. 20.01.2022 Hey everyone - have a great holiday season whatever your personal beliefs may be. The Wednesday morning session will definitely be on this week and more than likely I will be there on the 27th as well, but I will let you know. Also - have a look at the attached poster. The Gin Club used to be semi-regulars at the Yagubi Festival back in the day. This should be a good show. Cheers Phil

08.01.2022 First Wednesday in July this week!! It seems that the dark and winter weather are having the usual effect on numbers - so if you are in the mood - brave the harsh winter night and join us at the bowls club for a song, a yarn and a drink.
