15.01.2022 Hi To All Our Travelling Friends I received a call from our friends at 4CRB to say that some listeners enjoyed our Armchair Traveller segment last Saturday (we are now on air every second Sat next on the 2nd May at about 10am on 4CRB -89.7fm) . On the interview with Russ Walkington we discussed the difficulty the Travel Industry is currently going through. I have never experienced so many cancellations or rebooking in all my 40 years in travel.... We also talked about the future and this is what we should all be focusing on. The airlines, shipping and tour companies and also hotels form a big part of all our lives and many to whom I speak to are looking forward to the day where we can restart this wonderful industry. I found an excellent quote this week - As the world slows down and takes a necessary breath, we should take this time to reflect on our most memorable travels of the past and dream of travels that are yet to come. Cruise Lines are talking of how they can change their onboard experience to give full confidence to passengers wanting to cruise again. Currently they are promoting cruise departures commencing in July. Airlines and hotels are all biting at the bit to get the ok for travel to restart. Travel within Australia is certainly showing great signs of optimism.
