23.01.2022 OUR FIRST TREE! Today we planted our first tree with the funds received from recycling plastic waste! Cannot tell you how excited we are! ... This has been a goal of the business and the first of many trees we want to plant, with our first goal being to plant 10,000 trees. The proof of concept that we can recycle plastic waste and use the funds to plant trees has finally become a reality, not only making us do a happy dance and having a grin ear to ear but knowing that we can really make a massive difference to this world we all call home. #recycledplastic #ecofriendly #tree #plantingtrees #goals #zeroplasticsaustralia

19.01.2022 This plastic feather bookmark on a pressed sheet of LDPE represents 20 kilos of material that never made it to landfill, it represents trees that will be planted from proceeds made by it being upcycled into something new. Permaculture teaches us that the problem is the solution, this is no different.. So unbelievably excited to find ourselves on the new frontier of diy plastic upcycling. Right now we're just a couple of bogans in a shed with big but humble ambitions, and mayb...e that's all that we'll ever really be? But whether it's directly through the plastic we remove, recover or just in our own perceptions of what can be done with this amazing resource, we are making a difference. The sheets we started with compared to the sheets we can make constantly now are worlds apart, everytime we make another sheet it seems we learn something new, I hope that doesn't stop anytime soon..
