24.01.2022 A question we often get about our products is why aren’t they low carb? Or can you make a low carb range? The simple answer to both questions is, untill we find a way to cook the carbs out of rice, they are here to stay The more detailed answer requires us to dive into the attitudes people hold towards carbs, or any nutrient for that matter, with more questions. Why are we so quick to demonize any nutrient? Is there not room for all types of nutrition in a balanced diet... or even weight loss? The graphic in the post shows what the typical macronutrient breakdown looks like for contestants on the biggest loser. As you can see, almost half the calories come from carbs. This is due to the fact that carbs are the primary source of energy in exercise. This makes them a crucial part of any regime focused on health. The focus in these diets, and all diets for that matter, is calorie control.
