24.01.2022 OMG....You won’t believe the day we had today.....We just bagged the Inaccessible Pinnacle (referred to by local mountaineers as the In Pin)the huge ro...ck at the top measures 150 feet high along the narrow edge leading to the summit . The Inaccessible Pinnacle sits at the top of the 3,234 foot Sgùrr Dearg which we had to navigate first so you can only imagine how exposed the climb to the top was....Never before have myself, Dave & Scott put ourselves to a climbing challenge this demanding or with such consequences...a massive thanks to Steve from Synergy Guides www.synergyguides.com who (excuse the pun) gave us enough rope to have the best climbing experience we have ever had The weather was a little dodgy up there today with winds reaching 70km and the clouds covering the summit so to give you a better idea of what it really looked like I have popped in a couple google images....Feeling pretty satisfied guys...Cheers Mike, Dave & Scott See more

22.01.2022 Hey guys...So we were back at it and on the beach this morning but this time we upped the anti and got 3 tyres in tow....We had Geoff & Simon from 5th Element Expeditions with us putting us through our paces and making sure our technique was on point....if you don’t know we’re off to New Zealand with the team in August to do a week of training in the Old Woman’s Range on the Tasman Glacier trying to replicate Arctic conditions....Geoff is attempting to be the first Human to... do the longest solo, unsupported Polar journey in history....5200 kilometres across Antartica which he hopes to complete in around 3 months kicking off in November this year.... 04.01.2022 Have you ever hiked for 6 hours straight? Yesterday me and 25 Gold Coast fathers conquered 15km (some did up to 20km) of rocky, steep, unrelenting terrain out ...the back of Mudgeeraba. It was gruelling. One climb went for 5km, and every time we rounded a corner we thought this has gotta be the top, only to be met with another steep, rocky incline. It’s one of those experiences where the challenge of it can really get to you if you allow it to. You start asking yourself the question; Why am I here? Why do I do this to myself? The answer for each and every one of these GC dads is; because I need to be the most mentally and physically fit version of myself that I can be, if I’m going to excel under the pressure of being a full time working father who needs to set the example of how to be a strong and confident person for my kids You see it’s not about the challenge, it’s about who you have to become to overcome it.
