23.01.2022 This is just awesome! I really wanted to share with you what sleep looks like when you nourish your body with exactly what it needs. Sleep is so super important. You might be getting to bed early, but are you getting quality sleep. On Monday I went back on to my Metabolic Balance plan. Just food with the correct timing and correct portions for me and my body. ... And look at the quality of sleep I have been experiencing. This week I am consistently getting sleep scores of 90% since getting back to it. Normally my scores are between 65 and 80. 14.01.2022 Do you often miss lunch as you are to busy, or just do not know what to eat? Then you have no fuel for the afternoon and find yourself eating crap! Fuel up with lunch! Lunch does not need to be hard! Do not over think it!... This is a very simple quick lunch AND it is Metabolic Balance compliant! (well if you have prosciutto or ham on your food list.) 11.01.2022 What did you have for lunch today. I find that lunches can be the hardest meal to get right. A lot of people are so busy that they either skip it altogether or grab a take away that might not be as nourishing as you may need. When you skip lunch, you will probably get to around 3pm and have that dreaded afternoon dip. Then grab any old crap to get something in. ... This can really be avoided by eating lunch. My tips for easy lunch: 1. Make extra dinner and reheat for lunch. 2. Keep it simple with something like ham or goats cheese on ryevita with avo and tomato slices and maybe a side of carrot sticks! 3. Use left over roast veggies and make a salad with chicken or smoked salmon. 4. Hummus on rye bread with vegetable sticks. There are so many options. It doesn't have to hard. Flank steak, sprinkled with salt and pepper, lemon grass, sesame oil and chilli flakes. bbq rare. Salad is full of nutrients. Coriander, rocket, capsicum, radish, grated carrots, red onion, tomato, and avo. Dressing has fish sauce, sesame oil, dash of soya. Mix together and enjoy. Hi guys, I'm on week 14 into my Metabolic Balance journey..... LOVIN IT. I have to admit I have had a few more than usual wobbly days with crazy deadlines and working lots super late nights. But I wanted to give an insight into my usual day to day eating on Metabolic Balance, that has helped me loose 11kg and... over 40 cm. (Yeap 40 cm gone in just over 3 months) There is no special foods to buy and my meals take a maximum of 10 minutes to cook including prep ( my kind of meal), with the exception of a roasts. With the foods on my meal plan I don't feel like I'm missing out and will happily eat my meals when the rest of the family get takeout. As you will see I'm no chef and my plating ain't pretty but trust me it tastes delicious all cooked in Ghee (some times olive oil) with salt n pepper and a few herbs and spices. Gyms are not really my thing, so I try to walk 3 days a week for 30 to 40 minutes or bounce on the trampoline with 2 tweens and a 3 year old kids (or should I say get knocked and pushed around) and sometimes I get on my daughter's horse, this works for me. On top if this the support and guidance Zita provides is so encouraging to keep me on track to get to my goal weight -5 kg to go woohoo. If you feel sad, happy or angry do you head to the fridge or the wine fridge? You are not alone! Emotional eating is a real thing. Cravings are usually driven by something. Often your body is lacking a nutrient, for example if you are craving oranges, you might be lacking vitamin C. Other things that could drive cravings could be insulin resistance, hormones, gut infections or even magnesium and iron deficiency. There might also be an emotion that is linked to childhood or a memory of comfort that could be driving you to emotional eating. For example, when you were little and hurt yourself, you mum might have given you a cookie to help you feel better. All of these things can lead to a lifetime of emotional eating.
