02.01.2022 Did you know? The minimum thickness (Min. Th.) is imprinted on every TRW motorcycle brake disc and is clearly visible on the outside of the friction ring. Once this minimum thickness has been reached, the brake disc must always be replaced. In addition, a brake discs thickness can easily be measured using a micrometer screw. Calipers, on the other hand, are less suitable for this task. Due to material removal, a small ridge often forms on the outer edge of the discs friction ring, which in turn can lead to wrong measurement results when using a caliper.
