20.01.2022 Hello all, We would like to give you an update as to what is happening here at Zielinski Legal, in light of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and all of the governmental regulations and measures relating to it. Zielinski Legal is still open. However, our clients and the community are very important to us so, in an effort to minimise the transmission of infection, the following measures have been taken:... 1. All instructions and appointments will be by email or telephone, where possible; 2. Where a personal appointment is required (for example when witnessing of documents), social distancing will be engaged; 3. 04.01.2022 Is your Will valid? This may seem like a straight forward question, but the answer isnt always so clear. Chances are, if you have a DIY home-kit type of Will, it may not be valid. The reasons for this are many, but some are due to user-error, things like:... Ambiguity with dates; Not crossing out irrelevant clauses; Leaving blank spaces where information is required, to name just a few. Preparing a Will can be a mine-field, if you are trying to do it yourself, which is why it is better to see a solicitor who works in the areas of Wills and Estates. Not only will you have a Will prepared that meets all of the formalities required by legislation but a solicitor who works in the area can also provide you with advice on potential problems that you may not be aware of. Having a solicitor prepare your Will may cost a little more in the short term but in the long term, it will potentially avoid massive expense, delay and stress when it comes to the Will being admitted to Probate.
