24.01.2022 For some reason George thought his litter tray made a good head pillow Thankfully, he didn't have to endure it too long as he was only here for a short visit so that Dr Karen could have a look at his eye. Eye wounds can develop and change quickly so it is important to get your pet seen ASAP for any eye concerns. ... George is doing much better with the help of some eye medication & TLC

At this time, we will be prioritising essential veterinary services, including alleviating conditions causing animals pain, distress or illness. Non-essential services may be deferred until it is safe to provide them. We ask that you phone ahead so that our nurses can assess your situation and secure you an appointment time if necessary. If you are c...oming in for an appointment, our door will be locked. We ask that you remain in your vehicle and call the clinic when you arrive. One of our team members will be out to bring your pet inside, and your appointment will be conducted over the phone with the Veterinarian. If medication is needed, the nurse will bring them out to your car along with your pet. We apologise for any inconvenience caused while we try to navigate the current situation.

"Frank the Tank" 11yo DLH Male Tabby Frank is a big smooch! *see video in comments* He sadly lost his front right leg years ago, so must be kept as an indoor only cat. "Peaches" Approx 13 yo Female Ginger and White with a black beauty spot on top of her head. Peaches has heterochromia (one blue eye and one green eye). Shes a small girl, with a big heart! We have removed a nasty tooth that was giving her grief and shes now feeling happy, healthy and ready to give endless head bops and purrs to a new loving family. 04.01.2022 Beautiful Boy Briggs presented to us for his puppy vaccination where we discovered he has a type of Class 1 Malocclusion - "Base-Narrow" Canines. This means that every time he closes his mouth, his lower canines bite into his top jaw. Circled in Blue, you can appreciate the divot that these teeth have made in Briggs Maxilla. To give Briggs some relief we were able to remove the lower deciduous (baby teeth) canines. Unfortunately, this will not be possible when his adult ...teeth come through as lower canines account for nearly 30% of the bone in the mandible. However, when they start to grow through we can help to manipulate them into place with some "Kong Therapy". Briggs also appeared to have a broken Upper Deciduous Canine which had already started to form a tooth root abscess. When a tooth is fractured, the pulp cavity is exposed to bacteria in the mouth which travels through the root and forms a painful abscess. Circled in Red you can see the blackening of his canine tooth where it has been exposed & the abscess breaking through the gum line. Briggs was a super boy today and will be feeling much better soon! We wish him a swift recovery & look forward to more puppy cuddles when he comes in for his post-op check

Unfortunately, though Christmas decorations are fun & pretty, they can also be pretty nasty if your pet ingests them. 02.01.2022 Georgy was such a sweet patient & won over the hearts of all the nurses when she was in for her Dental Procedure! Did you know that all of our dentals have Full Mouth Dental X-rays as about 2/3rds of the teeth sit below the gum. (Just like ice burgs ) Even if they look okay on the surface, there may be abnormalities lurking under the gum! Thankfully, Georgy's teeth just needed a good cleaning & her mum is going to maintain her good dental hygiene with some regular dental treats
