24.01.2022 Zion House for Women are running to raise funds for our own facilities. We are entering into this years Melbourne Marathon Festival on Sunday October 13th!! We’ll run 10kms,5kms. Since its humble beginnings 3 years ago, Zion House for Women is a thriving charity that runs mentoring and group sessions, along with a weekly Community Hub, to help women overcome life-controlling behaviours or circumstances. We’re making a difference see some real video... stories by following the link. We’re volunteer-driven, but the charity costs money to run. We’re at the stage now where we’re looking at renting permanent facilities to branch out and add more community services such as practical help and also more self esteem & self worth group programs. 20.01.2022 A huge THANKYOU to Laura from the organisation ‘Sign for Work’ who came and shared with the ladies at our community hub this morning This is an employment service for those wanting to enter or re-enter the workforce. It is individually tailored and whatever barrier you may be experiencing, Laura and her team come alongside you and support you in whatever way they can. This not only includes employment but also help finding courses and other educational needs. Was Fantastic! ...What an encouraging and uplifting morning . . Just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t within us and isn’t growing (just like the seeds under the dirt).
