Erez Feinberg is the Head of informal Jewish education at SFPS Mount Scopus and is the Chairperson for the ZV Department of Hebrew Language and Israeli Culture on the Zionism Victoria Executive. Born in Jerusalem (8 Generations "Yerushalmi"), he is a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with an MA in School Leadership & Certified manager of Education Systems and Policies, an Educati...on Diploma in Civil Studies; Education Diploma in tour guiding: Ministry of Education and a BA in International Relations & Geography. He has previously worked as the Education Director for the Jewish National Fund - Victoria Division. He also managed trips and taught at the Hebrew Gymnasya in Jerusalem. Another prior role at the Hebrew Gymnasa was head of FNS (Field, Nation & Society) & Knowledge of Israel; FNS contributes to youth education and social processes including knowledge of the environment and understanding of the linkage between the Land - to the Jewish people. 13.01.2022 BREAKING: Malka Leifer lawyers resign Globes published an in-depth interview with Malka Leifer's leading defense lawyer, Tal Gabay, in which it was revealed tha...t: In recent days, Tal Gabay and Yehuda Fried have decided that they will not continue to represent [Leifer] because it is a "side issue to the long and ongoing process of questioning her mental fitness," which they conducted. It was not immediately clear who would represent Leifer moving forward. Nick Kaufman, who defended Muammar Gaddafi’s children at the International Criminal Court, joined Leifer’s legal team earlier this year, and would ostensibly take over as lead attorney for a defense that has not seemed to have a problem financing such high profile lawyers. Gabay told Globes that he still believed the Israeli justice system would prevent Leifer’s extradition and that even if it did not, an Australian court would determine that she is unfit to face justice, and therefore will be allowed to return to Israel. The next hearing is at the Supreme Court of Israel on 3 December at 9am. The three-panel judge will hear the oral appeal by Leifer's defense regarding the District Court's decision to extradite Leifer to Australia to face 74 charges of child sexual abuse against three complainants, the courageous sisters Nicole Meyer, Dassi Erlich and Elly Sapper. Voicsa CEO Manny Waks - said in response to the announcement: "This sudden resignation is an indication that Malka Leifer's long-standing and prominent legal defense team expects the Supreme Court to uphold the District Court's decision to extradite Leifer to Australia to belatedly face justice. "In the Supreme Court's most recent ruling relating to Leifer's mental fitness, the same three-panel of judges who will preside at the next appeal said that proceedings had dragged out ‘much beyond what is reasonable’. We therefore expect a prompt and unequivocal decision by the Supreme Court: that Malka Leifer must be extradited to Australia as soon as possible. "As I've repeatedly stated, it's been clear to practically everyone following this case - including countless experts - that Leifer has taken the Israeli judicial system for a major ride. It's time for this charade to finally end. Leifer’s legal avenues practically exhausted, we hope and expect that we now see her swiftly sent back to Australia where she will face her accusers. "Once that has occurred, we repeat our call for a full review to take place in Israel to find out why this particular case has dragged out so long and whether allegations of political interference are substantiated. 04.01.2022 MALKA LEIFER IS BACK IN MELBOURNE It’s been 13 years since the Israeli principal last set foot on Australian soil. A decade her alleged victims have been campai...gning to have her extradited from the Jewish State. The former Adass Israel school principal, a mother of eight, allegedly preyed on school girls under the cloak of secrecy of a religious community in Melbourne. Her flight landed from Singapore at 8:44pm local time. Tomorrow she will front the Bail and Remand court in Melbourne for a filing hearing.
