23.01.2022 A couple more pics from Sunday's Blokart Bash.

23.01.2022 This is the second video from Woodgate, I want to highlight the safe actions of the sailor I am approaching. You will notice he puts out his left arm to indicate he is turning and in what direction. I was left in no doubt to what he intended to do. If we are NOT sailing a designated course we should all do this, it is a lot safer for all concerned. Now to the lighter side, who will be the first to identify the upwind leg. The wind indicator is pointing forward on both legs.

20.01.2022 After a few months being unable to access South East Qld Blokart Club's track at Hamilton it was good to catch up with fellow club members Judy and Bernard on the weekend. The light shifting winds were testing but we all had some good runs.

16.01.2022 A few photos at the inaugural Woodgate Blokart Classic this weekend. Everyone enjoyed the socialising, blokarting and venue for this well organised event hosted by Capricornia Blokart Club. Well done Paul Effeney, Nev Michell and all club members.

12.01.2022 I attended the Cape Hillsborough Blokart Regatta (hosted by Central Queensland Blokart Club) on the weekend and met up with young Jackson (my new sailing buddy)... and his parents on the beach on Friday. Jackson was keen to have a go in a blokart so I took him for a few runs up and down the beach, we both had a lot of fun. This is a short video of a 20 minute sailing we had together. I look forward to seeing him again and having another sailing experience with each other. Ross Webster See more

11.01.2022 This is the second video from Woodgate weekend and the purpose of it is highlight beach safety. You will notice the sailor in front of me puts his left arm out ...to indicate he is going to turn and in which direction and I am not left guessing what he is going to do as I approach him. We should all do this if we are not sailing on a designated course. On the lighter side a competition. Who will be the first to identify the upwind leg?? See more

10.01.2022 Having just returned from competing in the Australian Open Blokart Championships which were hosted by the Victorian Blokart Club at its track at Casey Fields in Cranbourne East, I congratulate club President, Pete Walsh and his outstanding team of volunteers of race and track officials and also the ladies in the canteen who provided fresh lunches every day. Their hard work ensured the event was well presented over the duration of the event. Everyone who loves freshly brewed... coffee really enjoyed Eyla with his coffee van - great thinking! I also thank all competitors for their camaraderie and sportsmanship and if you didn't obtain a placing, everyone is a champion! I look forward to catching up with you all in South Australia for the next Australian Titles. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues with the camera at the presentation dinner and no middleweight production photos were taken - sorry. See more

09.01.2022 After a long 6 months wait we are back at the track - well worth the wait. The track is bigger, smoother, although not as smooth as the beach, but we don't have to wait for the tide and it has no soft spots. The track has always been split level but now there are 2 ramps which has its own challenges and can be a bit intimidating with fences all the way around but once you get your confidence up, it's just great! The breeze was swinging around 6-10 knots with gusts of 12-...14 knots at max. Judy Cox was on a 5.5m sail and Bernard Cox, Brent Masters and I were using a 4m sail. Judy and Bernard are middle weights and Brent and I are superheavy weight sailors. We all had a great day and looking forward to using the track a lot more as we now have access Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday each week. Check out South East Queensland Blokart Club's facebook page for info on track location and contacts. See more

07.01.2022 A few photos of blokarting on Sunday at the Mulambin Blokart Bash. Congratulations and thank you to members of the Capricornia Blokart Club for organising another great event - well done.

06.01.2022 Sorry about the quality of the video. The spin drift (sea mist) was heavy. I cleaned my glasses but forgot to clean the camera lens. 20 knots of breeze, 3 metre sail at Woodgate Beach last weekend for SEQBC Christmas Party. Having fun and enjoying the ride!
