20.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that has been in touch with us with messages of support for the project. We've also received some fantastic questions about the Mt Coot-tha Zipline which we've added to our FAQ page. You can read them here: https://zipline-australia.com.au/faqs/

17.01.2022 Our website is now live! We're planning to deliver three world-class ecotourism experiences at Mt Coot-tha to celebrate it's unique natural environment, indigenous history and cultural values. Please go to https://zipline-australia.com.au/ to make a submission in support of this project.

17.01.2022 Wed like you to meet Matt & Mike, the people behind this exciting project. Read our blog to find out a bit more about the local boys who are working towards bringing an ecotourism attraction that the people of Brisbane will be proud of.

12.01.2022 Another exciting milestone: the Mt Coot-tha Zipline project is currently in the "public notification period" for the next 12 working days. To throw your support behind three cool ecotours (Skywalk - cultural heritage tour; Scenic Zipline; & Treetop Canopy tour), please share, tag friends and follow the link to our web form and make a "submission in support" of the project. Well forward your submissions to Brisbane City Council who will record your support. Lets make thi...s happen! The Zipline Australia Team https://zipline-australia.com.au/support-the-development-a/

12.01.2022 The team at Rotorua canopy tours provide an inspiring example of how to combine an amazing zipline experience with conservation. Where previously pests had decimated the native bird life in an ancient New Zealand forest, the conservation efforts of the Rotorua canopy tours team has restored a strong bird chorus enjoyed by all visitors. Check out the great work these guys have done here: https://canopytours.co.nz/conservation/

11.01.2022 Dare to say YES! If you agree that the Mt Coot-tha Zipline is an excellent project which will benefit our community environment and economy we urge you to have a say! This is your last chance to support the project during the approvals phase. Heres what you can do:... 1. Share this post with friends and family 2. Complete this short but important survey https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4678014/dMCzlmp (a quick summary of the mentioned report is at: https://zipline-australia.com.au/proje/land-management-plan) 3. If youre feeling really motivated .. ... save and use one of the "I say YES!" images as your cover photo 4. Bust the myths when you hear them by checking out the facts below. All are verified by independent expert reports. - Selective trimming and removal of trees and shrubs will be undertaken in isolated pockets across a 1.94 hectare area in the 1600 hectare Mt Coot-tha Forest. Within these 1.94 hectares, a total of only 0.076 of a hectare (760 square metres) of land will be completely cleared. - The tours will be low impact (the existing Legacy Way carpark will be re-purposed as the Arrival Centre and parking for guests, and tours are largely at height removing the need for clearing beneath the Skywalk, Treetop and Scenic zipline spans) - No loss of views across Brisbane from the Lookout (the proposed design ensures current views are maintained) - Access to all currently available trails and recreation areas will remain 100% available to the public. - The Treetop Canopy tour has gone through a full re-design to ensure at least a 100m buffer is maintained from the Powerful Owl nest, and Zipline Australia will be directly supporting monitoring, reporting and conservation efforts for this awesome local resident pair. Weve also got some exciting news about pricing and discounts for locals in the pipeline which we are looking forward to sharing. Thanks so much for your support. We cant wait to welcome you to Mt Coot-tha tha! Matt & Mike PS - dont forget the survey :-)
