25.01.2022 Are you someone that has no problem starting your fitness journey, but after a while fall out of the habit and end up back where you started? This is often because you are TOO fixated on the quick results and not embracing the process (which is different for everyone), and when these quick results don’t come, you lose hope and give up. But, results don’t HAVE to be seeing the number on the scales go down or seeing your body change in the mirror. ... Results can simply be the amazing, empowered feeling you get after smashing a workout, or noticing how much better your self-esteem and energy is since you started. The key to keep going is to hold on to that feeling and keep reminding yourself how good it is for you. Every time you don’t want to workout, remember how amazing you will feel afterwards, remember how good you’ve felt since you’ve started. This is a much more powerful form of motivation than focussing on how you look anyway. So when you feel like giving up, remember that is all part of the process, and once you follow the process for long enough, it will become habit and eventually you WILL see results, there’s no doubt about that. Based on my best deadlifts weeks ago (105kg x 8) I should have only been able to JUST squeeze out 3 reps, but felt really comfortable at this weight! 11.01.2022 Competed in the state titles over the weekend with the semi-final on Saturday night and the final on Sunday night. Very happy with the effort and performance I put in and really felt like I did enough to win the title but came away with the loss on decision. Life often doesn’t go your way which you can’t control but what you can control is how you react and come back from it. I still feel like I did myself proud and is a massive learning experience for me going forward and am keen to get on to the next fight Massive thanks to my coaches Phid Coumi, Frank Trimboli and Charlie Coumi and to all my family for the support
