For the past 22 years, I have run my own award-winning business and have taken care of the copywriting, content creation, website articles and blogs throughout that time as I simply love to write. The success of my travel and event business (Spectacular World Travel & Events) led me to launch SHINE Business Women, publish four books (a small business trilogy and a compilation of 52 stories of business women from around the world), mentor w...omen and create a podcast. These are a very small sample of the questions I ask the people that come to me for advice, mentoring and business development... and we really drill down into these and a number of other areas because more often than not, people don't know the answer. They are flying by the seat of their pants, and that ultimately does not serve anyone - their clients, their bu...siness or most importantly, themselves. More often than not, people don't have a Business Plan, which means that they don't have any real objectives and they are busy busy all the time, but not actually going forward... they are treading water doing all the 'urgent' and not focusing on the 'important'. Today was the first ever RoboRave Australia event which is an International Robot...ics Competition for teams of kids, aged 8 yrs to adult, to test their design in one or more events. 08.01.2022 For years, I have had a dream... I’ve always prided myself on being a lifelong learner as have completed diplomas and taken courses in all sorts of areas BUT in recent years I’ve had a niggling and a goal; to complete a course at University! I deferred after leaving school, ended up in my dream industry during my ‘gap year’ and never actually went to UQ as planned. So last October I decided to make sure this was a goal I ticked off and my dream has recently been achieved! Hav...ing completed the Deakin Graduate Certificate of Leadership (yay, here’s my Uni testamur), I’m pushing on to complete the rest of this course to gain my Masters... it’s been a lot of work but so worth the effort! And it’s a big tick off the Bucket List and whereas I couldn’t graduate formally in Melbourne... that’ll be on my next year list! It’s never too late to tick off your goals... even if sometimes they feel impossible!

Queenslanders will be able to undertake unlimited travel, including overnight stays throughout the entire state, in a major easing of COVID-19 restrictions. More locals will be allowed in cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs, with an increase in the number of patrons from 10 to 20.... From noon on Friday, June 5, venues with more space will be allowed up to 20 people in each defined area if they follow an approved COVID Safe Industry Plan. Well done, Queensland.
