23.01.2022 Hi. Just me. IN ULURU.
23.01.2022 Missing moments like these... As we all fumble our way through this pandemic its actually nice to practice non-mindfulness every now and then dont you think? Looking back through photos of loved-up times like this, and thinking forward to when we can do it all again.
22.01.2022 As she gazed out the window she thought to herself I wonder if hell get emotional... @ Bennetts on Bellarine
22.01.2022 I asked them if there was anything else I should know about their relationship. And, like I couldnt already pick up from them, they replied with Its real. No frills.
22.01.2022 Do you know what was cool? Marrying Claire & Brett on the balcony of @terindahestate over a glass of champaz with just 2 witnesses then leaving them to have lunch. No one even knew what we were doing!! Now thats low-key. Ok, they did enjoy a phenomenally romantic ceremony at The House Of Juliet (if you please) in Italy with their daughters - but lucky little old me got to do a simple ceremony back in Aus for them to make it all legal. The simplicity was so refreshing, as were the bubbles on the gorgeous summer afternoon
20.01.2022 Youre just too good to be true, cant take my eyes off of you... Or should that say LIPS? Could these two love each other anymore? Na. *** Sophie & Adam had an intimate indoor ceremony, in front of the fire at The Whiskery / Bellarine Distillery while it drizzled outside. Another of my brides that turned friend, Sophie wowed us all in a Grace Loves Lace gown, the photos (pashes) were caught by @emmajaneindustry and, of course, I had the pleasure of making this madly in love couple a husband a wife! *** Luckyyyyyyyyy
18.01.2022 Heeeeey Just me hitting the keys at my new desk located at PAKO COLLECTIVE @joshcrosbie_architects gorgeous new place... Desk space still available Come say gday! Photos: @cricket_studio @ Pako Collective
18.01.2022 This is Paulina & Dan. Paulina is the goddess in white and Dan, is most certainly, the man. They chose to tie the knot at @bennettsonbellarine because its a killer venue - really laid back and rustic, with a beautiful big ol yellow gum to marry under. What they didnt choose was the 50 knot winds coming off the sea (). That wasnt going to stop them from saying their vows under this tree though! Clearly, not even the weather could shake the good vibes which oozed from this couple. We had a laugh, we had a cry, it was everything you should expect from a signature ZSE ceremony... even if I do say so myself . . . Thanks @ccphotographyau
15.01.2022 Happy Valentines Day to the father of my boys Sid & Otto ~ Luke ~ I would not be where I am today (heaven on earth) (including working as a Celebrant!!!) if it wasnt for you. Thank you, purely and completely, for being you, to me. I adore you
13.01.2022 This place is an important one to Brooke and Nat. The vast minimalist landscape is a representation of how they live their lives simply and peacefully. Rather than surrounding themselves with things they choose to create moments in time with their family. The most treasured moments are recalled around the dining table with shared storytelling and laughter. And true to their word, theyve both requested that this ceremony be short and sweet! Lucky for me I have had the pleasure of being there, sitting around the dining table, telling stories. I married my brother to his soulmate 2 days ago. It was simple. And it was perfect
13.01.2022 THE TRUTH - The truth is, you might ask me for a fun ceremony script, like what Michell & Patrick did. But if after getting to know you I see youve actually been through the lowest of lows together, dug yourselves out of the trenches, and came to your wedding day through pure blood, sweat, tears and determination... sorry, but thats what Im going to write. And if youre anything like Patty & Mish ... youll love it and want to use it. It was admirable to hear that after reaching rock bottom, these two fought for one another and are now the happiest theyve ever been. A story that just had to be told. Ps. How bloody adorbs are their boys
12.01.2022 At the end of the day, getting married, as opposed to, say, eloping, is about making your commitment with your loved ones as your witnesses. With your loved ones placed as your confirmed lifelong comrades. With your loved ones.. as the drunk auntie still on the dance floor long after the djs left & your best friends head hung over the toilet bowl. Its one big fat celebration of your love, with your loved ones. Photos @jarrahlynch Photo edits @edsloanephoto Florals @asdaisydoes @ Ravens Creek Farm
12.01.2022 RITUAL - noun: A solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order. There are loads of gorgeous existing rituals, they can (and should) be tailored to suit you. You could also create your own! I dare say my favourite of all is The Sand Ceremony - essentially used to symbolise the joining of a family. Each member pours their own coloured sand/soil/similar to one vase. The idea being that once the grains have been placed together in o...ne vessel, it is quite literally impossible to seperate them again, hence symbolising unity forever. So spesh. And an interesting addition to a wedding ceremony. @cockerellandco
11.01.2022 Jess, when I began trying to write these vows I found it incredibly difficult. It wasnt until one day someone said to me - dont think about it, dont try to impress anyone, just say how you feel. So these words are how I feel when I think about us: Happiness, safe, proud, giggly, silly... love ***Sound advice*** photos @sweeterthanhoneyaus venue Cloud Farm, Apollo Bay - find it on airbnb, phenomenal venue with spectacular views, plus you get the whole property to yourself, for as long as you like - I rate I rate )
10.01.2022 Ok so Im not one to toot my own horn but every now and then, when someone recognises the stuff youre really trying to portray, you just gotta Right? ..... Wow. This is a person that gets you and understands you from just a few questions asked. Zoe married myself and my now beautiful wife just a few days ago and the ceremony still makes me smile like I am going through it all over again. If you give this woman free reign over your proceedings I can tell you she will not ...disappoint. My mate joked one night he wanted to marry us.... unfortunately for him I found someone that was willing to work with what we had.... which was not a hell of a lot haha. But we thank our lucky starrs Zoe took us up on the challenge. We never seen the speeches or approved anything prior to the big day, we had 100% trust in her that what Zoe and our mate had produced was going to be nothing short of amazing. And my lord did they deliver. Even threw us a curve ball with my amazing daughter getting up to read a poem in front of everyone (a talent in itself to get her up there). I could go on and on about Zoe and how she connects with her clients/friends but one thing is for sure, this Celebrant Zoe Starr is 100% genuine and one heck of an individual. And your guests will have never experienced such a wedding ceremony. Cant half tell we have a Celebrant crush can you hahaha. Thank you Zoe Starr for one very very memorable day, we love your individuality and how you can extract the strangest emotions. Much love Scott & Steph
10.01.2022 Listen to me, I want to tell you something The reason I love you is because You are the only one who has taught me how to love And appreciate life To feel hurt and to feel joy... Feelings that come from loving you, Situations can change, between the morning and the night But our love for each other stays the same, It stays strong; It is constant and it remains true Despite popular belief, readings are not an essential part of a wedding ceremony. I remember doing an entire module on them during my course and thinking wah!? ... Searching for a poem about love just... because!? However, during my time as a celebrant there have been some sensational words read and this is top of the list. Its lyrics to a Mumford and sons song which has high significance to the couple. Made even way more extra totally super special and sweet by not only opening the ceremony, but by being read by the couples niece the gorgeous Abbie. As the guests took their seats Abbie stood where the celebrant would traditionally stand. Can you imagine how totally overwhelmed with warmth those guests would have felt when she opened the ceremony? It was just one of the many, many perfect aspects of this glorious day at Sokol Arts Eco Retreat, superbly captured by @withlovefromnearandfar @ Sokil See more
09.01.2022 If there was one thing I could critique the wedding industry about, itd be that there could be a few more fluffy pink wedding dresses featured... Amiright?
09.01.2022 How did the average Australian wedding get to cost $60,000? Because the ceremonies used to be so BORING so we all felt obliged to make up for it elsewhere. I cant stand that. Spend your money on a good celebrant and help get the marriage ceremony back to its roots.
09.01.2022 Almost a year on I dont know about you guys but Ive got no idea where this one went!! Anyhoo, some 365 odd days ago I was TOTALLY HONOURED to marry this honest and down to earth couple. It was held at one of my all time fav spots @ravenscreekfarm, styled by Jessica Alderton Events and captured by Jakub Fabijaski Photography. It was an Aussie Sunday Family Dinner come Party with a Sweet little Marriage on the side. And it was delightful. @ Ravens Creek Farm

08.01.2022 Interesting fact: Did you know that in Australia its legal to marry your first cousin, your auntie or your uncle? .... ....
07.01.2022 Im a #workingmum and so far Ive managed to juggle twins and celebrancy with sheer determination, and babysitters (grandparents). Today I put my babies into daycare for the first time! Ive now got an extra FULL DAY up my sleeve to get creative. Excellent... Happy Monday

06.01.2022 A definition of the word modest is : unassuming in the estimation of ones abilities or achievements. After meeting with and getting to know Niki and Leigh, I cant possibly find a better word to describe them. Of all the hundreds of couples Ive met with over my years as a marriage celebrant, these two have wanted to talk about themselves the least Do you know who they preferred to talk about? The two adorable little humans in this photo. Making this beautiful family a legally bound unit on the weekend made me feel about as chuffed as I possibly could be
05.01.2022 Happy Christmas to all my beautiful clients past and present and those I have worked with in the wedding industry this year. May the season bring you joy, and may you all take the time to slow down to enjoy those you love xx
05.01.2022 THIS is why you get hitched
04.01.2022 Ill never forget catching up with one of the bride, groom and Is mutual friend @ok_sure and remarking look at us both, wearing all black to which she responded matter-of-factly what other colours are there?. This absolute stunner of a bride wearing a bold black number by @lbcouturedressmaker
04.01.2022 How are you all holding up? Its been a tough few months for everyone but I cant help but have an extra soft spot for those whos special days have had to be changed, postponed or cancelled. Whilst Im busy wrangling the twins day in and day out I often stop to think and wonder about how seriously SENSATIONAL, BIG and BETTER THAN EVER our celebrations will be once weve gotten through this. Chin up - well get there, and if Im on your team, know that Im ready to ditch the denim and get my heals on the second that fat lady sings!!
04.01.2022 SIGNING TABLES Lets not beat around the bush here - the certificate signing, although is kind of an important aspect of the wedding ceremony, can be totally BORING And I dare say its one of those elements that adds to the default perspective that a wedding ceremony, in its entirety, can be a little, lets say, monotonous.... Also - have you seen some of the signing tables getting around these days? Think - aluminium table & chair combo found on Nonas patio, covered with a white table cloth, because - STYLE Heres what Ive done, Ive gotten my talented brother at @our_piece to design and create something modern, inconspicuous, transportable and most importantly stand-up for me to offer my clients (at no charge of course). It not only means it can chill there on its own, dressed up or down, at the corner of your ceremony awaiting its important job of supporting signatures on legal documentation. But! Being stand-up, it allows for you to casually, and quickly, get in and out of there so that you can move on to the more important aspects of the wedding. Just another little detail you can expect from a Zoe Starr Events ceremony :) Thanks @enchanted_weddings
04.01.2022 This is me with my family. The two little cuties are ONE today. Being born prematurely and spending their first 4 months of life in hospital, theyve taught me many important lessons. Number one being - awareness. I am so aware, every day, of how lucky we are to have these two, healthy boys in our lives. And just as thankfully, I am aware of the kindness, patience and understanding my clients over the past year have been. Im so fortunate to be able to continue work, it bring such joy to me, and you are the reason why. Work-life balance has taken a few months to grasp, but, Im pretty sure Ive got it now. With some incredible couples and venues on the horizon - 2019 is going to be wedded bliss!! Happy birthday babies.
03.01.2022 If you didnt have a jumping castle at your wedding... did you really have a wedding??? @ljm_photo did THE MOST phenomenal job capturing these two crazy cats having the best time of their lives on their special day

02.01.2022 Emotional - having feelings that are easily excited and openly displayed. Logical - characterised by or capable of clear, sound reasoning. When emotional meets logical, you get... Natalie & Adam I love beginnings that are a little different, and I always try to start my ceremony scripts with something ear-catching. I think this one was a perfect example. Summing up the couples strongest traits. Natalie & Adam wed at the stunning @mtduneedestate and this gorgeous pic was captured by @love.and.other
02.01.2022 When a maaaaan loves a woman, she can do no wrong... my all time fav part of every wedding ceremony is the tears!! What a bloody emotional day it is. Such a huge commitment, and all the love. ALL. THE. LOVE.
02.01.2022 Bride: can I... Me: truckin oath you can!. Aside from the legal vows, a little paragraph your celebrant has to say and a coupla pieces of paper, you can literally do whatever you want on your wedding day.
01.01.2022 We met on a balmy afternoon just a few weeks ago, at the bachelor pad which was gradually taken over by Melanie and later totally taken proprietary over by Cleo. Within 5 minutes I was offered a wine and some cheese, which I politely declined. Within 10 minutes, I was drinking a wine, and eating the cheese which was sprinkled, casually, with herbs picked then and there from the garden. Little Cleo fake laughed, showed me some of her favourite picture cards, once illustrate...d by her mum, but mostly sat there, quietly and contently, on Vadas bed, patting her and staring off into the distance. I couldnt take my eyes off the art, the quirky little trinkets, the organic foods, the abundance of plants throughout the home. I felt instantly cosy and happy. I had arrived at the quirky cubby house for our, 1 hour get-to-know you meeting at 4pm and i didnt leave until long after 7. And didnt it set the tone for this couple! Quirky, creative, intelligent, caring, hospitable, unique - all qualities they both posses which Im certain their beauty little Cleo will master too. They married by the River in Ocean Grove, just a heartbeat before the new laws rolled out. A whole lifetime in, with an entire lifetime to go. The weather was not going to make things easy, but its couples like these that remind me - life wasnt meant to be easy. True love. And my honour to legalise it
01.01.2022 Ok, first of all jump on Google and search Seacroft in Sugarloaf. Then go there. Then book your next event (preferably wedding) there. Next, check out these pics from a recent wedding I was lucky enough to be a part of at said location! Ali and Neal did something I am always pushing for - they thought outside of that box! They enjoyed their first look (thats when the groom gets to see the bride BEFORE she walks down the aisle) just minutes before the ceremonies start. Th...e guests werent left out though! A camera was set up outside to steam that first look live to their guests as they sit in anticipation in the sweet little chapel that overlooks the water and hills. They then entered the chapel hand in hand along with the bridal party. It was just the beginning of what was to be a perfect, fun and suitably late evening of love, family and friends. @ Seacroft See more
