01.01.2022 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Q. Can I use my phone camera to shoot my film? A. Yes you can use a phone to shoot as long as it can shoot at a reso...lution of 1080p. Q. Does my film have to be 2 minutes straight? A. Your film can be up to 2m and 30sec. With an additional 10 seconds for end credits. Q. Can I produce animation? A. Yes cartoon or animation is allowed. Q. Can my film be comedy? A. Your film can be any genre, as long as it focuses on our theme 'My People My Community'. However, political issues or messages directly attacking our government or any party for that matter is highly discouraged in this competition. Q. How can I pay for the entry fee? A. You can pay by depositing or transferring into our bank account. Bank account will be provided upon request. Send an email to [email protected] Q. Why is there a K30 fee? A. All fees will go towards supporting the charity organization - Community Rescue Mission. A fee adds value to your submission just like any film festival or film comp in the world, they charge fees to help finance the competitions and events and the prizes. In our case, it is going to charity. Q. When is the deadline? A. Deadline for all submissions is on the 20th November 2020. Q. How can I submit my film? A. You can submit the film by filling in the form and uploading the file on our website. Go to www.png2minutefilmcompetition.com and navigate to the 'How to enter' tab. Q. Can I use a drone in my film? A. Yes you can use any equipment to shoot. But keep in mind the PNG Aviation laws and the safety of everyone while using such equipment. Q. Are children allowed to take part in acting? A. Yes, however a written permission or concent from a parent must be provided. Q. Who is going to judge the competition? A. We have 6 judges on the panel who are industry representatives from PNG, Australia and Europe. We will be annoucing who they are in the coming week. Stay tuned. Q. Where will my film be shown. A. All films will be screened live here on our Facebook page leading up to the annoucment of the winners.
