17.01.2022 Maintenance is key right now to avoid injury when we head back to class.. I always sing the praises of the plank as it's a full body exercise! Ensure your hands are stacked under your shoulders, hold your core tight to create a straight line from your shoulders to your heels & squeeze your heels together to activate your glutes & inner thighs. How long can you plank for ? - -... - - - #zoneactivebaydance #zoneactivechallenge #stayactive #staylimber #keepmoving #fitness #strong #strength #core #abs #health See more

14.01.2022 WARNING We suggest if you or your child uses the popular App Tik Tok, that you make sure they stay of for the next 24 or so hours. Overnight, sadly, there was a suicide that took place on a TikTok live which has made its way into the feeds of many people around the world. The advice is to stay off Tik Tok for a 24 hour period until they have been able to take this video out of the algorithm. This is a very traumatising video. It is also circulating on MANY other social... platforms (Instagram, kids messenger and Facebook), so please monitor your children. 10.01.2022 Does your Gym coach ever nag you about tying up your hair? About taking off your jumper in class? Being in the appropriate uniform? Bringing a water bottle? Do you know why!? She's preparing you for life out in the world. ... Wear your uniform with pride. Be ready for class, show you have prepared, show that you are ready, show that you care. Look like a gymnast - feel like a gymnast Casual clothes & a casual attitude in class equal a casual mind. Show up, look the part. Your body is your instrument - show it so you can grow. Be ready to receive corrections with humility and grace - they are your coaches gift to you. Be humble, be hungry and always try to be the hardest worker in the room See more

09.01.2022 Our team at Zone Active Gym Sports & Dance Academy hold the health and well being of our studio families, students & staff in the highest priority. We are OPEN & our classes will be running as normal until we are advised to do otherwise. We have ramped up our already stringent cleaning procedures & have adopted some new policies during these stressful times to protect our students & staff the best we can.... We are closely monitoring the regulations and will endeavour to keep you all updated. But for now, the gym has never been so clean & exercise is not only good for your health but good for your soul - Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer often (You will be asked upon entering the gym to sanitise your hands and then asked again upon leaving) -If possible, avoid long waiting times in the foyer with friends & or other siblings. -Bring along your own water bottles ( there will be no sharing or providing of cups /mugs at this time ) - Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze. -We have adopted several procedures in classes to minimise direct & unnecessary contact with each other ( No hand holding, No Hi fives etc ) And MOST IMPORTANTLY PLEASE remember Stay home if you are unwell or have been advised to self isolate. If we all stay calm & work together as a community we WILL minimise the impact on ourselves & those around us who need it the most !!

07.01.2022 Zone Active Families As the news about novel coronavirus continues to develop. It’s important we take sensible steps to stay as healthy as we can in and out of the gym The best way to protect ourselves and our families from COVID-19 is the same way you would protect yourself from catching flu or other respiratory illness:... - Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer often, there is plenty in the bathrooms & placed around the gym. - Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze. - Keep your hands away from eyes, nose, mouth’s. - Ensure all used tissues & wipes are disposed of in the bins. - Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms. -Make sure kids have their own drink bottle full of water, hydration is super important, and this is definitely not the time to be sharing cups & drinks. Most importantly please - STAY HOME IF YOU ARE UNWELL- Together we can kick some healthy goals this coming winter
