17.01.2022 "I dont know who needs to hear this right now but one year before Alexandria Ocasio Cortez became the youngest ever congresswoman, she was working two jobs to ...support her mum, at a charity and as a bartender in the Bronx. She has been trolled for being working-class and not having enough experience, and she has openly admitted to regularly battling imposter syndrome in politics. She was the underdog that the media didnt take seriously until she won and she is absolutely the type of woman we celebrate and work towards. And if you need any more reasons to love her, read this... Women like me arent supposed to run for office. I wasnt born into a rich or powerful family. My dad died when I was a teenager. Ive waitressed my way through hard times and dealt with disappointment. The dress Im wearing is from a thrift shop. The ring on my hand is my mothers - a reminder of every floor shes mopped so that her daughter could have a chance. So the next time you question if you can do something lets just remind ourselves of everything AOC stands for." See more

12.01.2022 They are here!!! Little did the Startrack Delivery woman realise that the contents of the parcels she wheeled up my drive have the the potential to change 400+ lives. These are the components of the Birthing Kits that in the last 12 months have helped over 600,000 women to have a safer birth. Our club has accepted the challenge to assemble 200 of the new environmentally friendly earth kits through the Kits at Home initiative. Our intention is to hold 5 house parties to make this happen.

04.01.2022 Please treat yourself by listening to this brilliant podcast. Did you know that our country has more statues of animals than it does of women? What message does that send to our young girls as they walk around our cities. Claire Wright talks about the amazing legacy women have provided to our country and the importance of it being recognised and respected. Cant recommend highly enough.

01.01.2022 Attending Blue Mountains City Council Mayoral Breakfast to acknowledge the impact of violence against women and children in our community. Addresses by Mayor Mark Greenhill; Member for Blue Mountains, Trish Doyle; EViE Project coordinator, Cherie Brandon; Chris Smith from Mountain Men Against Violence; and two members from Katoomba High School leadership team; and other people in our community. Sobering facts but great to see some many advocates in the one place.
