22.01.2022 From our member on the ground in PNG, Cheri Floyd, comes this update: "On Thursday the Covid vaccine was made available for the very first time in the Koroba-Lake Kopiago electorate. We'd been talking to the Fugwa community over the past two weeks about the value of vaccines and helping the community decide if internet rumours were true or not. A special thanks to former mission nurse, Frances Leak Taylor, who helped out with messages and Messenger chats, to give people accurate information that allowed them to make their own decisions. After all, at Fugwa, if you can't believe Sister Leak on health matters, then who can you believe?!"

08.01.2022 Unfortunately, the members of the Zonta Club of Coffs Harbour Inc have decided to postpone tonight's event, 'Celebrating the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife', after looking at all the medical advice regarding Covid-19. We felt that we could not guarantee a safe social distance and virus control for all attendees and in the interests of health and safety we will be postponing this event to another month when the virus situation is clearer. The members of Zonta Coffs Harbour would still love to meet you, and hope that you will be able to attend this and other functions in the near future.
